Do people still send Birthday cards?

Just curious...I love to send a birthday card! Seems some don't...Is it a generational thing? What are your thoughts?

I send birthdays cards to my son, husband, sister and my last living aunt. Of course those are the people who remember my birthday and send a card to me. I think it is generational, my son doesn't send cards to anyone but his father and me because he knows it's expected.

Absolutely! And I love the pop-up greeting cards on the market now. I love sending cards for all occasions!

I always send cards as does my sister and a few friends. I am 71. I do receive cards from most friends but not from younger relatives. I cherish written notes and cards from my grandparents, aunt, and my dad ( who died this year). I dislike e- cards that to me show minimal thought.

I only send birthday cards to my mother, niece and nephew. If I lived closer, I probably wouldn't.

I love to send and receive birthday cards and all kind of cards. But a lot of times people just text or e mail birthday wishes and it just isn't the same. I am just older and prefer cards.

I send birthday cards to my immediate family and e-cards to friends. I used to send out more cards, but noticed no one else was sending me anything but email greetings for various occasions.

Thank you notes are handwritten always.

i dont send birthday cards to adults, only to children.

i prefer calling the person on their birthday OR taking them out for a birthday dinner or lunch.

Feeling very guilty here. I have two first cousins who always send me Birthday cards, always have.

I enjoy getting birthday cards. There are a few people i still mail cards to. Some people send me birthday wishes on Facebook which is fine.

i get so many greeting cards from charities throughout the year that i dont really NEED to buy any type of card.
