I don’t have Amazon Prime but I placed an order on Friday night and it was delivered on Sunday evening. Amazed that processing and shipping took less than 48 hours. Way to go Amazon. If only the Q,s delivery was that quick.

I ordered a Wedding Countdown clock from them and was setting it up before I gifted it.

The year button - both current and future wasn't working.

I printed the return label, took it to Staples to send back and once Staples had scanned the code on the label, I had my refund back from Amazon.

I was amazed because technically they didn't have to give me my refund until they received the clock back.

No, I do not have prime from amazon as yet. It is something to think about since I order quite often . It just does not appeal to me that I have to pay to get shipping and handling for free.

Re: Amazon. There are few items I can’t find there at the same or better price from cosmetics, books, clothing, electronics, dog food.....Prime provides fast, free shipping. It makes it difficult to justify shopping elsewhere.

I do like to support my local smaller Mom & Pop stores even if I pay a little more.

Certainly agree with supporting local communities. Coming from a family history in which my Great Grandfather- Russian immigrate learned early on.

Wow that's pretty good. I'm lucky if my prime packages make it on time. Seems like stuff that travels out of Connecticut gets delayed. Last one stopped in MA on the way to NY then went back to Connecticut.

At your Dad's age it's hard for them when family & friends are not with us. My 91yr FIL got remarried but he seems happy so be it. Prime is great, my husband retired last year & loves the movies, documentaries & tv shows for free. We even do rent some new releases. I can get 2 day shipping but with the holidays I feel I can wait, feel so bad they work so hard to get that 2 day shipped out. I also have the amazon charge & get cash points back, I even use it at costco. Cell phone/computer batteries anything you want you can find without fighting the crowds & wasting gas & time. Also they are going to have a drop off places because of the stealing of packages at your front door. We have a few gas/convience stores like a 7-11 that you rent out lockers, your packages will be mailed there & you can pick it up anytime. They just started this and only a few are doing it but soon most will have it. I have no problem with stealing.

I like amazon, i went to walmart last week to get some things, several items i needed were not in stock ,on shelves, i find there is much more on line than ,in the store, i miss the little mom and pop stores that use to be ,in the small towns,then came malls, now malls are dying ,who knows what is next.
