Does anyone else wish the Glitter Phase would end? Some things are OK with some glitter but for the past years now every thing has glitter! Cards, wreaths, decorations, stockings, ornaments, tree skirts, and on and on and on. I hate getting glitter on my hands, face, floor etc.

It's almost impossible to destroy! I've seen other complain about it also. And a couple of cartoons that were very funny!

I just don't buy anything with glitter and fortunately, no one sends me cards with glitter.

I rec some cards with glitter and end up with it on my face days later.

I dont buy cards with any unless it is the type that doesnt come off, I always rub my finger across to make sure.

It is so hard to get rid of and funny how it shows up in places around the house lol!!

I hate it.

You could burn the house down and move and it would still follow you!

My s-i-l was a teacher and she banned it from her classroom.

Not me!! I'm probably in the minority here but I love anything with glitter. Even if I see glitter around, it just makes me happy and I smile.

GLITTER - UGH! Once in the door, I agree that it never leaves.

Last Christmas my two Granddaughters brought all the ingredients to make GOOP. That bag of stuff included lots of glitter to go in it.

Grandma said No. They were not happy campers. Said - "We do it at our house!" I said "That's fine to do it at your house, but this is Grandma's house, and we don't do glitter here."

Sometimes this Grandma just has to say No.

I threw out a brand new box of holiday cards last year. In the store the glitter caught my eye - back home darn things were shedding all over me......decided I wouldn't want to receive no matter how beautiful the cards were. Trash = $14

when my grandkids were little, they knew grandma's house was a "glitter-free" house!

I have a strict "No glitter" policy in my house, especially for ornaments. It definitely eliminates my choices, but for me, that is a good thing! I absolutely hate it when I open Christmas cards with glitter. I get several every year. I don't know what the senders are thinking, as it gets everywhere.

if i feel glitter through the envelope of a christmas card, i open the card over the trash can....read it...and then it ends up in the trash.....

I don't like it either. It gets all over the place. Next thing you know you have it on your face.

When we get cards I open over the trash can. If it has glitter on it in the trash it goes. LOL!!!

I don’t know if I’ve ever sent cards with glitter, maybe a few over the years. I don’t remember the glitter coming off. This thread has been enlightening. In the future I’ll be sure not to purchase any cards with glitter!

I don't mind very light sprinkling of glitter but some of the ginger bread items fron here have so much glitter that you can't see the item to enjoy it.

DH and I have various charities that we support and, even though I wish they would stop, they send us greeting cards as thank you gifts. I do use them considering the cost of cards at the store. This year there have been more cards with glitter. Now that I know many people don't care for them, I won't send them.

It is almost impossible to find Christmas decor of any kind without glitter...glitter is the worst though on clothing...have tried to buy clothes for grand girls and they make a perfectly fine shirt and then ruin it with glitter all over the front...it ends up in the washer, dryer, and everywhere she goes...which is everywhere.

@fthunt.. I don't care for glitter on greeting cards especially if they shed all over like they did with you! Does your store have a "no return" policy for boxed cards? I would have taken them back as long as the cover for the box wasn't ripped off.

$14.00 is a lot to throw out! That's too bad that happened!!

Edited to add@: I just read over your post again @fthunt ...and noticed you said this happened last year!! What bothers me is there are so many of the separate holiday cards to sister, et al, that have so much glitter on them and it easily gets on your hands just looking at the card in the store!! I'm talking about a famous card store. Yes, they sparkle but I don't want all that glitter on me! I touch my eye...it's in my eye!...and on my clothes! GOSH!!! Please...Don't put so much glitter on your holiday cards... card companies!!!
