I am so sorry. This hits close to home because we lost Dad last year due to heart failure, and my mother was diagnosed with heart failure earlier this year and us hanging in but clearly going downhill. I so appreciate your sharing this and agree that she must, indeed, have had a blessedly peaceful and quick passing. I felt my dad’s relief after he passed. I truly did. Sensing that made all the difference in helping me cope. What joy and comfort you must have given your mother. I like to think that she gave YOU the gift of her peace to help you through your grief.

How wonderful for you that you were able to put aside your negative thoughts and emotions and turn those into love and forgiveness after your tragedies. Otherwise you may not have been in the proper frame of mind to accept your mother back into your life for these past months. Where others would see the unfairness of life, you and your mother saw light and love. We should all be so fortunate to be able to spend our last days on their earth as she did with you.

I’m sorry that she won’t be there physically with you to celebrate your happiness. But she and the rest of your family will be there in spirit.

MaryAnne, I'm so sorry for your loss of your mom. I am glad you two or three, got to have time together that I imagine was quality time and may it stay with you and comfort you on hard days.

I'm glad you two are going ahead with your plans, I'm sure she would approve, as you said. We must do what is going on around us, while we can. Nothing is promised to us. So I'm happy for you!! Hugs.
