😥GUESS SKIN NOT THICK ENOUGH 😢

Last night I replied to someone’s post w/ a compliment & a ❤️. She accused me, in capital letters & bold print, of “following her”. Screamed for me to stay away from her!!!

I’ve never, ever, intended to hurt anyone or make them feel uncomfortable. I apologized and stated I’d try to remember her nic, not reply to her threads, posts or w/ a ❤️.

I was mortified, feelings were really hurt. I thought I had a “thicker skin” as you all said is needed to be here.

So upsetting to me. I thought about it all night... not sleeping well. Why would someone be so volatile?

Both posts (hers calling me out & my apology) were poofed within 5 minutes.

Has anyone experienced this here? Other than the usual advice to ignore, what can I do to forget or understand this horrible experience?

@Shanus. Easy to say, but try to not let it bother you. I have a handful of posters I no longer bother with for certain reasons. I never respond to them. You find all types of people on these boards.

@proudlyfromNJ I have also had a few that always came back at me w/ a snarky comment, so I do try to ignore these. This one last night, yelling in bold caps, really freaked me out. Following?

I'm with you. When someone reads these things, a lot of what they are feeling inside of themselves comes out, whether you deserve it or not. (That's any of us.)

But your apologizing, for any misunderstanding, and with a heart yet, says it all. Try and consider the source. Now a days more people are very touchy and testy and it's more about what's going on in their lives, whether they know it or not. I know from what I've read of your posts, you are not the person, the other person perceived you to be.

It's the way of the world now, a lot of hate is going on. I don't believe it's you. Sending a hug** @Shanus

Just wanted to chime in- I didn’t see the post, but if it’s the same poster last week or so who was complaining about being ‘followed’, I wouldn’t worry. I’ve seen a lot of your posts and you’ve always been nothing but kind and helpful to others here. I’ve ‘hearted’ a few of your comments (maybe I’m stalking people too when I do that? Lol) because I agree with it I like what you’ve posted. There are some people out there who just don’t seem quite right in the head, and this poster sounds a little ‘off’.

Anyway, don’t let her occupy too much of your time. 🙂

My suggestion would be to just let it go.

Sometimes you just can't rationalize why some people act the way they do.

Try to remember that this person has no real effect on your life and surely isn't worth losing sleep over.

If someone posts on a public forum, anybody and everybody has a right to respond to said post, whether they like it or not.

I would just ignore that person, like they don't exist in your world.

@Nugbucker Judging by the recent post from her, it isn’t ME. I only asked for forgiveness (obviously not forthcoming) & closure. I assume that post showed her true colors.

@Shanus............Good morning my friend. I have not been accused of stalking (yet). But I have been called a liar and people saying they were appalled at my posts. It did bother me a bit but I try my best to shake it off and go on. I am very careful these days what I post and to whom I post. There is one forum that I dont go to anymore at all.

Try your best to move on and dont correspond to that person anymore or heart any of her posts.
