Time flies when you are having fun...

Today is our wedding anniversary. 34 years ago today, I walked down the aisle on my daddy's arm and married the love of my life. Honestly, I can't believe how quickly the years have gone by. I can't believe how much living we crammed into those 34 years. Tomorrow we'll have a party with some family and good friends at my daughter's home, we're having a heat wave so the party will be indoors. Our wedding reception was outside in the garden of our church and my girls are going to re-create that with the same color story and the same foods but it will be 90 tomorrow so the party will be inside. It was hot on our wedding day too, my mom was a little miffed that all the guys took off their jackets and rolled up the sleeves of their shirts. I didn't give it much thought all day and then I started looking at the wedding album and then our family albums. I'm glad I decided to go for a slice of pizza with that cute guy I met in the bookstore all those years ago.

Happy Anniversary! Have fun tomorrow, but take time to count your blessings. A successful marriage and a family that will come together and celebrate this milestone with you is something to be thankful for.

Thanks to everyone for your comments, we had a great day with our family and close friends. We're thinking about renewing our vows next year. We haven't done that and we didn't have a big 25th. No plans, just thinking about it.
