Boggles my mind that she left the hospital 4 or so hours after the baby was born, not sure if that is medical procedure in the UK or if she is a Royal

I think she is has easy noncomplicated labors, and just wants to go home.

has everything she mind need and want there, plus the nonsense outside the hospital will stay until she leaves

Yes, it seems incredible that she could look so good only a few hours after giving birth (coming from a mother of 3).

I think one of the reasons Kate and the new baby leave the hospital so quickly is for security reasons. At their home they can have their regular routine and security..

Anything Kate or the new baby needs can easily be provided/brought to them.

It's probably a little disruptive to the hospital staff and the other patients when a Royal is in the hospital, extra security and precautions. When they leave the hospital, the hospital can get back to normal.

I think she left earlier than the average new mom but not by much. They don't treat uncomplicated childbirth like an illnes in Europe, the way we do here. The average woman and baby are discharged in about 12 hours.

I'm sure her leaving early has more to do with security than anything else but I bet she gets waited on hand & foot once she gets home. And the baby nurse is there to take care of the baby so -- why not?
