You might like to tune into some of the shows that QVC occasionally has showing copies of jewelry of which the originals were once given to Princess Grace or Jacqueline Kennedy (although I think the JK jewelry shows have stopped for a while).

In any event, you will learn that jewelry is a common gift given among and between heads of state and others in those levels of society.

You are right indoor kitty. I'm just use to the married couple getting together gifts. It could be family jewelry, meant to be handed down. I promised myself to never be negative or mean to anyone here, so I'm sorry. I know that Prince Charles loves his family dearly.

Sorry - I couldn't resist! I keep remembering the bracelet Princess Diana found on their honeymoon that he had made for Camilla.

I do know he loves his boys and Kate and his grandchildren - probably Meghan now too. I'm sure it was given to Kate with love, and she is obviously glad to be wearing it.

Just after my DDL put on her wedding dress to wed my son, I gave her a diamond necklace he and his Dad gave me for my birthday when he was three years old. She cried and of course still wears. The heart knows what it feels for all involved, their child and the love of the child's life.
