Inspirational daily message....

My best friend's husband died suddenly just before Christmas...I am looking for a daily inspiration, book, calendar....something that is daily for her to read. I have looked online and have not seen anything. Any suggestions? She is religious so I was looking for something religious in nature. thanks

Do you have a Christian book store in your town? If so that's the best place. We have Mardel's locally.

Yes, Sarah Young is exceptional. I'm currently reading Jesus Always -- about the search for joy. Daily Devotional.

I recommend Jesus Calling too.

It pretty much saved me several years ago and made me feel very close to God.

Also Jesus Always, Jesus Today, all by Sarah Young.

My favorite books I've ever read about hope, faith life, everything.

Each one 1/2 page for every day of the year.

She may have them already.

I have 4 books to recommend.

First "Jesus Calling" Daily spiritual readings. Written by Sarah Young.I

This was already suggested.

Dr. Alan Wolfelt is part of my grief journey. He has books for almost every

loss. He brings a modern view of grieving instead of the old Kubler-Ross

many of us know.

"When Your Soulmate Dies; A Guide To Healing Through Heroic Mourning"

"Healing a Spouse's Grieving Heart: 100 Practical Ideas After Your Husband

or Wife Dies" There's also a book and journal for serious work.

Your friend can read it one page at a time, when ever she wants to. Or all at once.

I'm on my 5th reread.

If there are children involved he has a book for them too.

Look for a Christian book store in your area. Barnes & Noble could have something, surprised Amazon doesn't. Or call some pastors for suggestions. Even the Funeral Homes have things, so do, I think, Hospice people.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions.....there is no Christian book store in my area and I prefer to see the book before purchasing....next week when I can get to the city I will go to the book store, again thank you.
