Does anyone use the Quick Reply? Does it have a better use than the regular reply?

I've seen other people talk about Quick Reply, but I don't see a Quick Reply button. Where is it? I think I've read that it just doesn't have the features that the regular reply has.

I'm using it to reply to your post. It's stripped down and gives you no way to add pictures, URLs, or emoticons without knowing basic HTML code, but it's very handy for a quick response.

It's right next to the Reply button.

You should report that to the mods. Others have also reported Mac incompatibility issues, but this is the first I've heard about the Quick Reply option missing.

To me the only difference is that you can't have color, or other options. I don't see how it's quicker than the regular one.

I don't see how it's quicker either. The only advantage I can see is that you can still see the entire thread. If you wanted to view an earlier post by using the regular Reply, you would have to view the discussion in a popup. I like the "View Discussion in a popup" feature, too, by the way.

It means if YOU just need to make a very quick reply without the rich text toolbar loading.

Say you're in a fast paced moving word game, or just want to say "thanks" in reply, etc.

I use it often for simple replies. I don't use the discussion popup at all. Something for everyone.
