My Grandson

This isn't earth shattering, but could I ask for just a little prayer for my Grandson? He plays high school soccer and in the game a couple of days ago, he tangled w/another player and now has a mild concussion. It was nothing intentional and the other player felt awful. Poor kid, last year he was captain and got knocked out w/a broken collarbone the first game. Now this.

The season is almost over and I don't know if he will be able to play these last few games. Doesn't matter, just want him to heal. He is such a good kid. Of course, what else would Grandma say , but really, he is Thank you so much, friends!

Definitely will send up prayers for his complete healing.

We now know so much more about how concussions can have long lasting effects, and this is indeed something for parents/grandparents to be concerned about.

My own brother suffered several playing high school sports, and I understand your concern.

Young people are quite resilient. I'm wishing him a speedy recovery and much more successes on and off the field.

@Patriot3 I pray that he stays strong and healthy and has no more serious injuries playing sports.I have to say that teenage boys are such a worry and young men even more.I can't list all of the times I worried over my son while he was growing up but he grew to a man of thirty one and I still worry over him.

@Patriot3 Your grandson will be fine.Some years back when my son was in school he sustained a mild concussion playing football. It certainly scared the heck out of us!! My son recovered quickly & was fine.

I'm sure your dear grandson will be good as new!!

I hope your Grandson heals quickly. The human body is an amazing thing.

Years ago I had a serious concussion. I healed just fine - followed the Doctor's orders and went on with my life. And my brain is just fine - I think

I'll be praying he will be as good as new very soon!

If it was up to grandmas they probably wouldn't play soccer, football, wrestling-😖

I used to tell my kids "Why don't you sit on the couch with a nice book until you are 40?!"

or "Put on your helmet, knee pads, wrist pads etc!

They don't laugh at that anymore but I still tell them that sometimes, only move the age up a little more!!

They get so many worrisome clunks!

I pray he will be just fine!

Don't worry he'll be just fine. But I do think he's done for the season, they won't and shouldn't let him play the last few games.

patriot, prayers for your dear grandson & you too. Our 3 dgc all play soccer & get battered now & then. It scares me too. Our dd gets battered at tkd & she is 44 & very fit. She scares me more.
