Can anyone give me any ideas of a surface I can do a puzzle on. I can't do it at the kitchen table because it would have to be moved and I don't think I could reach to do it in my wheelchair. I could put it under something on the table but I don't think when I am sitting down I would be able to reach it. I was going to use the tablemate but it isn't big enough. Same with my walker tray. Any ideas what I could use so I can maybe sit in my recliner and do it.

I could always go back over to my sisters and get my bar stool to sit on. I found a 34 by 34 table on amazon that would work. I will ask tomorrow to see if my mom has any ideas before I order one. I wish there was somewhere I could go into the store. My mom is going to sams club this weekend but I didn't see any online.

I like to work on my laptop while sitting in my small recliner. I looked everywhere online and googled for a table that had legs that would slide under the chair to pull close in and be wide enough and high enough to slide over the arms of the chair without anything getting in the way of my feet. I finally ended up ordering #V34395 here online and crossed my fingers that it would work. It was simple to put together and is adjustable in height and in angle. The top can be wiped clean. It worked out fine.

Posterboard .........it works and can be moved and also cut to size. The reason I mention that, is that my last puzzle needed more room. It helps since you can do sections of the puzzle, and then go from spot to spot. I love to do puzzles, mostly in winter, but with my new little dog, she still is learning things, so I can't do any now. I did just get a new White Mountain puzzle catalog. I'll have to look through that for ideas. Have fun.

I had that problem also. Finally resorted to JigsawsGalore on line. Now, I thoroughly enjoy doing my puzzles on my laptop, without regard to where to store while in process. If you're inclined to do a puzzle on your computer, I highly recommend JigsawsGalore(dot com). You can change the size and shapes of the puzzles to suit your whims. And the creator is awesome to deal with, should you have any problems. I believe there's a free download available.

I have always loved jigsaw puzzles. I live in a fairly small apartment, but my intention is to get a card table to do puzzles on.

I have a friend who does jigsaw puzzles that feature scenes with books. She gets some kind of puzzle paste that lets you keep a puzzle together. Then she gets it framed. She hangs the framed puzzles along on the walls going down to a lower level of her condo. They look great!

I also enjoy doing puzzles online: go to jigzone.com. One nice thing about doing these online puzzles is that all the pieces are positioned the correct way (you don't have to rotate them or anything). Many of these puzzles are super-challenging and can take hours and hours to do. But they're FUN!

My dear, late mother loved working jigsaws. She eventually became legally blind in 1 eye with poor vision in the other, yet she worked those puzzles and read and did crosswords too. Many times I would visit her and try to "help" her with the puzzle. It would take me 15 minutes to find a piece and she would've found 5 or 6. She worked those 5000 or 7500 piece ones. One Christmas I gave her a 1000 or 2000 piece puzzle and she had it together by New Years Day. She appreciated it but told me " to please in the futire get me at least the 5000 piece ones. The smaller ones aren't tough enough." Miss her!
