Perunia likes to drape herself over things with both front paws dangling. Backs of chairs, edge of steps, cat tower etc.

Today I looked over and she had gotten on the console table. There is a lamp, a small plant and DH's cremation urn.

Yep, she was draped over the urn, both front paws dangling over the side. It's round, not a vase type. Luckily it weighs probably 20 lbs. and she can't knock it off.

Oy, that is an absolute no. That cat!!!!!!!!

@CrazyKittyLvr2 Petunia is so fun! However, if she gained a little weight and got up a head of steam, she very well could knock the urn over by jumping on it or jumping at it and that would be awful.

Oh Oh! Better move your DH’s urn. All I can think of the scene from Meet The Parents, involving a treasured urn and a kitty. In the movie, it was funny, however...

Let's just say Petunia and I had a little "chat". As much as he would have loved her she can't drape herself on "Grandpa."

I thought at some time in the future I would be able to have things on my coffee table and end tables again, ha, don't think so. Now this table.

I should be grateful she hasn't managed to get on top of the entertainment center.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 Seriously, the "chat" with Petunia will do no good if she decides to go running and jumping at the urn. I personally would put it out of harm's way. Little cats can do more damage than you think.

@Love my grandkids I will have to find somewhere safe to put the urn. Most likely in the bedroom because I keep that door closed.

She is such a little stinker. Nothing is safe.

It's sealed and yes it's breakable. It's ivory colored and not sure of material. It looks and feels like porcelain. I'm sure it's not though.

Whatever the material is it's very heavy. She just can't bump it and make it fall.

I'm still going to move it.

So glad you've decided to move it. Our two were real jumpers, and even as a kitten our Rocko seemed to be able to move twice his weight.

As I've said a hundred times, it's a good thing they're so darned cute!

Don't underestimate what she can or cannot move. My Chloe, albeit she is a little older, but she loves to play in and move her water bowls. I have had to replace many a water bowl, heavier one each time to no avail, she still moves them and spills water everywhere. A few weeks ago I reverted to using a 4qt. cast iron dutch oven. It is heavy when empty and when filled with water, even heavier. It lasted about 2 days. Now she manages to move it and slosh water all over the floor. My very last resort would be the huge 6 qt. cast iron dutch oven, I can barely lift it when it is empty, filled with water, not sure if I could but it would not surprise me if she would find a way. I love her to death but get so aggravated when she does this and I have to walk in water with bare feet or even worse, a pair of stocking feet. What to do, what to do........

Perhaps Miss P was giving him a hug...think of it that way - she loves you - you loved him, therefore she's to love him as well....no?

She's a lil smushball, gotta love her tho.

Petunia lives her life to the beat of her own drum that's for sure.

@noodleann She is just busy and nosey. Like most cats she thinks everything in the house is for her.

She has been going on the coffee table and end table for awhile now. Never bothered with the console table. Something caught her eye and she decided to see what was on top of it.

No idea of why she drapes herself over things. I never had a cat do it. She looks so goofy with her front paws just dangling over the edge of things. She just hangs out like that.
