I told my cat Frankie, pictured below, that it was International Cat Day.

She snickered, as if to say, "Why, don't you know? Every day is International Cat Day."

My 2 Burmese, brother Nigel and sister Shasta, now over the Rainbow. Miss them terrible. Shasta was with us for 21 years! You can hardly tell one from the other in their round bed, due to their sable coloring.

Nigel and Shasta were stunning kitties

and I can relate as to how much you

miss them.

Even though I have four kitties

(all rescues) still with me I have

many kitties (also rescues) who once

blessed my life now residing at

The Bridge and I still miss their

purr-sence:Tabitha,Sophie,Maggie,

Peter,Tigger,Tom and his brother Forrest.

I have no doubt that they have all

hooked up with Nigel and Shasta and

that they're all besties!

My 5 babies say Happy Cat Day to all of your babies. I announced it just now and they all just laid there. What a bunch of lazy cats. Oh, wait they do that all the time. Bless all your cats today and everyday.

I've been a Cat Mom for over 40 years. All my cats have been rescues and the oldest lived to be 19. Currently, I have an 8-year old black tortie - Jasmine. She gets along well with her dog sister, Brandy.

@Catty2 God bless the Tortie! I had a tiny tortie grace my life for 16 yrs, and loved Bitsy dearly....so smart, so aloof, so sweet and oh, such tortitude! I miss my precious little girl!
