Funny inquiry from Fed Ex Driver

I was walking my greyhound, Story, down in a wooded area when I heard a truck slow down. It was a Fed Ex truck. The driver rolled down his window and said "I just couldn't for the life of me figure out why someone would be walking a deer!" He thought Story was a deer - her long neck and tiny head and she's a red fawn. I told him he's not the first who has made that assumption. Now when he sees me he says "There's that lady walking her deer!" We get a good chuckle out of it. He said he had to go back and tell everyone at the office that he saw a lady walking a deer.

@Kachina624 - ha! I should buy some fake antlers and put on her! Yes, she came off the track two years ago and is loving her new life.

My girl, Diamond, came off the track on October 15 and was in my home on November 26. She now runs the house, no pun in tended. We walk 3-5 miles each day.

@Shaunac - they are the best - smart, silly, affectionate - I couldn't ask for a better dog. Story came off the track a couple weeks before I got her also. I'd love to see a picture of Diamond!

By the way, she's knocked out at my feet, recovering from a four mile walk this morning and knawing on a marrow bone for an hour an a half. Can you say: spoiled???

@Shaunac - Story would never last 4 miles - we walk about an hour, but it's not four miles - she's out in front on the way, and dragging behind me on the way home. Yes, Story loves her bones too - keeps her teeth nice and white! She had one yesterday while I was painting.
