Except when their owners leave them outside for hours and hours at a time and they bark the entire time! I loved that fun and gentle dog when his owners were home - just not when I was ready to sleep and they were still partying away from home at midnight.

Superior dogs miust also have superior owners.

I love Goldens.

My only issue is I can't lift one and give it a bath in my kitchen sink!

(This isn't me and my dog but that is my dog's expression whenever she gets a bath.)

Right. I do see the smiley face, but just fyi I can't get onto the floor or do all the bending over that's required. That's why I couldn't do justice to a large dog and have to stick with small ones that I can bathe at a higher level. It's too bad when infirmities have to run your life, but there you go. I could not even lift a large dog when it got old and infirm itself. That would be a real shame and harmful to the poor dog. I couldn't allow that to happen.

Otherwise I have nothing against letting a dog into the shower -- except maybe for the excessive hair if you don't brush very, very frequently. :-)
