According to DH cats and dogs are similar when it comes to getting tapeworms.

@monicakm - DH said the best thing you can do is take them in to your veterinarian. She will prescribe the right medication. He does not recommend buying treatment online. Also he said you should get rid of any fleas by using something she recommends, like Revolution (which he likes!).

Good luck, and I hope your pups feel better!

Question about tapeworm medication

Yesterday I found something disturbing on one of the tile floors in our house. Turns out it was tapeworm segments. Our dogs have been on bravecto for as long as we've had them. I called my vet and she said bravecto does not kill or prevent tapeworms. She said Frankie would have had to eaten a flea. How does that even happen? According to her there is no prevention only treatment. Does anyone have any experience with this product that I can get on Amazon? Our vet's office is about 40 minutes away.
