So true in our home, especially the foot attack area! DH gets more of the pillow-sitting "It's 5 a.m. and time for breakfast" loud purring by pillow!

Our feline friends definitely map out the bed for favorite spots. I always knew where my cats napped or relaxed, each one had areas which they owned!!! I miss them!

This may sound crazy but every once in awhile I feel paws at the foot of my bed,. I move my leg and nothing of course is there. Just sharing.

@beach-mom ...I love it!...That is so funny and so very true!..They wrap their precious paws around our hearts and we are totally captivated and at their command...I can't even begin to imagine a life without them otherwise!

@spiderw I don't think it sounds crazy at all! Too many stories have been shared that sound exactly like what you describe... from dogs' collars jangling, to scents in the air (goodness there are a few scents I hope don't recur lol), to barking and purring. If we believe people can be around us at various times after death, why not our beloved animals? It would make me smile, then of course be sad; but I would take it as a sweet remembrance anyway of a well-loved and much-missed fursweetie.

Your comment doesn't sound crazy to me because that has happened to me. I feel something on my feet and at the end of the bed and nothing is there. I do have 5 cats but it isn't either of them. It's a very strange feeling.

Even after carefully looking at so many possibilities, trying to get it just right. So pleased as I present it to her and nope.

Her look and walking away as if this was obviously not for her!

The grand bed was hers and she let me share. Same with the granddogs

@spiderw No, it doesn't sounds crazy, spiritual people experience this and I have many times and not just with my deceased pets but family members too. I miss my cats, they were my kids and loyal companions and I've lost 4 in the last two years due to age and disease. It still hurts every day, I miss them badly especially at night.

@newjersey Ya know what I just now did? I copied and pasted your exact post along with the question at the end into Chrome search. The result? Numerous articles and posts came up with one in particular listing 10 signs your cat spirit is around. I still feel if we think our deceased loved ones are sometimes around us, why not ALL of our loved ones? Anyway, I firmly believe in life after death and visitation by all we loved and who might feel our pain and understand. If they can make little random *visits*, then I say they will!

Thank you to those who posted about their experiences with feeling their pets presence after the pets have passed. I do have a spiritual side of me who believes in signs because I have had many. It is a calm good feeling to know my cats visit me once in awhile, the same feeling I had when they were here with me
