soft cat kibble

Does anyone know if a soft cat kibble is made anymore? My girl doesn't have alot of teeth left to chew on the dry stuff. She broke a tooth off at the gumline due to hard dry food.

Don't know if this is the answer, but had a friend who just added some water to the dry cat food. The older cats appeared to like the resulting moist food in the their dish. Thanks

No luck with wet food? Not all cats like all versions of wet food .... pate, bits with gravy or sauces, etc .... but maybe once in a while she might go for it?

She may have a preference for pate (easy to eat). Either fish, salmon or chicken? Lots to choose from and cats need more than dry food IMHO. I HTH...

My 17 year old kitty has only her tiny front "nibblers", as my vet calls them, because of issues with resorptive lesions. She eats Rachel Ray Nutrish kibble. The pieces are small and round, and she can swallow them just fine. She loves the chicken with lentils and salmon. There is also a chicken only version. Hope this helps.

I would try a canned or pouch food. If not, I used a small kibble that my cat didn't even chew. I used Royal Canin for Persian cats for my 18 year old himalayan.

Yes, my old gal (13 yrs) LOVES her some squishy food--but only stuff with gravy that she would eat all day long if she could. She has IBD and takes meds for that as well as the transdermal med for her ears for thyroid issues--I know the steroid causes her to eat more and the canned food causes her tooth decay and weight gain. Plus she has a sensitive gut so I can't just feed her anything!!! She will not eat any prescription food!!!! Would like to get her on a more regular diet and have the dry-ish food for in between again. With the dry food she will eat it or rather swallow it-- then go drink water and then......up it all comes because the water makes it swell up-----putting water on dry food--OMG--she would eat my liver!!! and I do portion the dry stuff-----good grief----what a diva!!!

My adopted dog doesn't have many teeth left so I soak his kibbles for about 10 minutes. I give him wet food as well. He eats everything and I don't here any crunching, the kibbles become soft and spongy. Good luck.

Sorry, just read the post about not eating kibbles that are wet. My older dog we just said goodbye to became very fussy towards the end. I gave him boiled rice mixed with wet food. It can be so hard and stressful when this happens, I think we take it for granted that our pets will eat everything. I tried lots of different ideas including low fat cottage cheese which he loved. Again, good luck with your little girl.
