Miraculous dog rescue story.

Last week ago a family in my area had their house collapse due to it sliding down a hill. Both the husband and wife were able to be freed from the rubble but one of their two dogs were found deceased under the house. The other dog could not be found and was presumed to also be dead.

Yesterday the husband and a relative were at the house trying to retrieve what little they could. They had been there almost daily. The husband heard what he believed to be a dog whimpering. Firefighters were called and by a miracle they found the other dog who was trapped under the house. Neighbors and firefighters were able to crawl under the house and bring this dog to safety. He had been under there for a week and managed to survive without food or water. He was taken to a veterinary clinic where he was treated and deemed to be in fairly good health considering how long he was trapped.

It was such a miracle and I admit while I watched this story unfold on the news I had tears in my eyes. Watching his owners so overwhelmed with joy at finding their dog was so heartwarming.

Sadly they lost one dog but at least the other one survived this horrible and heartbreaking incident.

There are several threads about this story, it was featured on major news sites, very sad.

I wish both dogs had survived.....
