Sorry for the hoss of spirit. Cambridge is doing her part of burying the bone. It's her half of the team. We have 2 GSD's dogs and they are big fans of the Kong extreme chew valls. The male chews on the ball constantly until he gets it soft then the female will have it. She does not want one of her own. She wants his after he gets it in shape for her. They are a team. Even if one team partner is gone, the other continues with the routine. Your story touched my heart. I hope your's heals in time.

@goldensrbest Snickers still won't sleep in her bed that is now where Krypto's bed was. She might go in it some but has taken ownership of my other recliner.
It's been over a year since Krypto passed. I'm considering just storing that bed in the garage. She has a large one like it in her room.
Dogs have their routines and I think that's what yours is doing.
Be careful with any bones. I used to give my Bassets butcher shop knuckle bones, but one got too small and was swallowed when I tried to take it. There wasn't a problem, but it could have been.
I had to take my Krypto to the vets once because he picked up a piece of chicken cartlridge. He threw it up but it would have caused trouble.
        🦴 🥩 🐶 🐾 🐾
