Please help with naming my lab puppy (male)

Hello!

I'll make this easy -

My DH and I get our new puppy in February - a silver male lab. (Silver is actually a diluted version of chocolate).

Anyway, if you could help us out by choosing one of the three names:

Buster

Lincoln

Murphy

BUSTER, for sure!

Lincoln and Murphy are too common. I know 5 Murphy dogs and cats and 3 Lincoln dogs.

No one will ever meet a Buster that cute!

What a gorgeous puppy. I can just imagine you and your husbands excitment to get him home. I like Murphy although my instant reaction seeing his blue eyes was Cielo. Please keep us posted with pictures. @tarsmom

Seeing his adorable photo, Murphy just seems to fit, for me. But, he's your baby. Pick the one that you love the most, and I hope you have many, many years, having him respond to that name.

"Lincoln" ("Linc" for short).

Another idea in case you're interested: "Sterling"

Because the breed (& the name) is British and because he is silver.

I like Buster, too. There are so many choices and I wanted something different - thank you for your comment! (**I liked Brooks but my DH said no!**)

I don't know how you can name a pup without understanding something about his personality. I once adopted a beautiful gray, black and white Sheltie named Charlie. We planned to rename him Stormy. By the time we got home with him, we realized he was definitely a Good time Charlie, so Charlie he remained.

He is precious. If I had to pick one of the three names I would go with

Murphy, but seeing his gorgeous eyes I'd call him Blue.

This is the first baby I've ever named since my son in 1982. My other three dogs were pre-named before we got them (they weren't puppies) and we kept their names. I totally get where you're coming from. I have several names that I like but my husband needs to approve so that's where we're at for now. I am open to other names but we liked these three.
