Holly passed over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday

I believe she was ready and knew what was going to happen. We got her in the car she immediately began to shake. She never did that before. When we were in the exam room she would stand with her head in a corner or would pace around the room. When it came time she offered no resistance. She is now chasing squirrels in Doggie Heaven.

I love you My Miss Holly, till we meet again.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It never gets any easier, even when they are "ready" to go, we never are.

Take comfort in the timing, that you did what was best for her before the ongoing fireworks and the holiday weekend.

the loss of your precious Holly.

I can relate to the deep grief

and sorrow that you are dealing

with as I've been down that same

dark road many times before and

will be again at some point as I'm

mommy to four rescued kitties.

Please find a sense of comfort in

the fact that Holly always knew

how much you loved her,that she

was surrounded by that same love

when you sent her to The Bridge

in peace and with dignity and that

she is now running like a puppy with

all of her new friends thru the sunlit

meadows of that most blessed place.

So very sorry for your loss! I remember like it was yesterday when DH and I went through this, so I am sending you all my sympathy. It is a terrible thing to go through. You feel like your heart is breaking. You did the right thing, even though you question yourself. Miss Holly had a wonderful life with you and was grateful for all your love and the last act of kindness and love that you gave to her. Blessings.

Your post about Holly brought tears to my eyes. People who have never loved a pet do not understand the depth of our love for the pets who share our lives. I hope your grief will be tempered soon by memories of the joy Holly brought to you. Prayers continue for you....
