…………..You all know I am inspired by foreign cultures…..The craftsmanship and artisanship these different people have created around the globe over the centuries is true and honest. The technique of “wood block” design is one of the oldest methods of printing…Today we can reproduce the look of real wood block printing through the artisanship of master screen makers. The PLACEMENT ENGINEERED print has the look of patchwork utilizing four different patterns including the paisley border, and a streak of Turquoise to separate them….This print and border is the type often seen in INDIA….The color above is a clear BLUE with accents of TURQUOISE and WHITE….The 94% RAYON and 6% SPANDEX tunic is approx. 29 inches long for the XXS. The sleeves are 3/4 length and also have the paisley border….The V-neck is piped in the print…..There are very generous side slits so you don’t have to hike the garment up to get your hands into your pant pockets…This jersey has a nice weight to it and doesn’t feel flimsy or clingy as others do. Of course when you take it out of the plastic bag there may be some static which often happens, but that can easily be taken care of…..Jac used to apply moisturizer to her legs to avoid any clinging…..a model’s trick………..The combination of the print, inspired by India, and the ELEPHANT PENDANT with TURQUOISE TABLETS, J488259, are truly perfectly paired together. The Elephant has decorative markings that can often be seen on Elephants during special ceremonies in India….Adding the TURQUOISE TABLET necklace and earring, J488255, isn’t necessary, but it looks so FABULOUS together….It’s also a fabulous separate necklace to be worn on its’ own or with other pieces you may have….like American Indian jewelry. The tablets are made from reconstituted Turquoise…..For those of you, like me, who have to take the extra step to make it even more wonderful….add the GLITTERATI TURQUOISE necklace, J482966! The glittering turquoise glass beads mixed with grey are just magnificent on the print and with the other jewelry pieces…..The style number is A379986…….I know you will enjoy this colorful top……………enjoy…………much Love……………………Louis

…………..If you have ever traveled to India, or have just seen pictures of India, one of the things you are immediately struck by is the beautiful COLOR OF INDIA……Warmer climates tend to use brighter colors, and combine them with great imagination. Women of India are not shy about wearing vivid colors, and are taught at a very young age how to combine and wear these colors. It becomes second nature….RED mixed with HOT PINK is often seen in Saris, sometimes shot with metallic threads. The red of the print is neither orange nor blue, but a clear beautiful color that balances well with the hot pink. The RED or the WHITE NUGGET JEWELRY looks fabulous with this top as well as the IVORY ELEPHANT and IVORY TABLET pieces……There are many pieces of Linea jewelry that will “play” well with the print….I’ve paired it with the off white fluid beach pant for a very cool relaxed look. A351462 and A351460 are the style numbers for the reg. and petite lengths… If you own the slim red pant they too would look fabulous with the top for a completely different look! ………………………….For those of you who prefer a more neutral pallet I have created the EBONY, KHAKI and WHITE color combination. This colorway really shows the intricacy of the print. There are areas of the print that are very finely done and areas that are blurred, as if the wood blocks that were used were old and worn with age. For me, this gives the print the character I wanted. It looks more like an old textile found in a Souk……Black, and White are the obvious bottom options, but a tan, khaki, or a linen color, such as my ponte crop pant can all work well……..A Short Story……When I designed this print I also designed the MOROCCAN JEWELRY, J477433, to go with this print. It is a perfect reproduction of a necklace Jac bought in Morocco….Of course she had to wear it immediately….The color of the antique brass beads and the black beads blend perfectly with the print…….Well, plans don’t always come to fruition the way we would like them to. The necklace and earring set was presented and sold much before this print tunic was ordered and made……However, it was Kismet that the two should finally come together at this time, and you can see my vision as it was always planned…….The necklace and earring “set” is also at an unbelievable clearance price of $19.99…….You can’t do better than that, and at that price you can get two to layer as I have done above…………………..enjoy………………..much Love………………………Louis

I feel the same as you. All three colors are so attractive, I don't think one could go wrong with any of them. I do have that ethic v neck poly print that was very popular a few years back in the blue multi and pinky red coral multi...so it looks like the Ebony for me too.

Do you or anyone else know if this rayon/span blend wrinkles? Especially with laundering? TIA

It was hard not to buy the ebony ... but that blue w/the white bottoms really appealed to me for summer. I have so MUCH black in my closet and just feel the need to brighten things up during this difficult time.

My spouse has been very patient w/ me this spring as I've purchased more colorful clothing than normal, model it for him, then say "I don't know what possessed me to order this color". He smiles and tells me it looks nice and knows it's probably going back or to my sister. The man is a saint. I feel pretty safe w/ the blue as it's not really bold color. LOL.

@rochelleS I have a couple rayon mumus that I sleep in & they barely wrinkle. I would imagine the spandex added would make the fabric even smoother.

Thank you @tipsy , I just couldn't remember the fabric. I thought Louis did a top with an attractive asymmetrical sort of flounce in solid colors 2-3yrs ago, that might have been a rayon blend. But I am unsure.

Yes, all of the colors are perfect for spring and summer, but I think this woodblock print top would look wonderful too over a sleeveless mock neck for fall and winter.

@crdlb Thanks for sharing the item#. This is the same top I'd thought was in the rayon/span blend.

And here's another rayon/span blend, this scoop neck, elbow sleeve swing was offered in black, white, turq & pecan. I own this and it definitely has a bit of substance with a fluid drape.

The new woodblock print appears that it'll be more substantial than the V Neck ethnic print (plus others in the faux de chine, too) offered 2-3 years back...that is if the rayon/span fabric is made from the same weight as the two tops pictured. I suspect it'll be the same.
