For those who own both of these sweaters, is the weight of the whisper knit the same? Also, if you are size large or larger, which do you find more flattering? Thanks.

Dear Trudey. The cardigan is in a slightly lighter yarn from the original swing sweater. Louis calls it the medium weight. I guess he chose it because of layering. They are still close. I am an xs, and the xs fit. I have read some think it ran larger. I'm sure you will hear from the size L ans Xl women.

Also, if you are size large or larger, which do you find more flattering? Thanks.

Trudey, I have both of these styles. The swing sweater is substantial in weight as it is an every needle rib (ENR) which camoflages lumps and bumps beautifully, drapes well, but definitely heavier than the cardi. The first swing sweater I ordered my usual xl and it fit a bit looser than I like, thru the arms and top especially. I have 3 more in size L which fits me to perfection.

The swing cardi I also have in charcoal and raspberry with matching tanks. It is a lighter weight knit, more flowy. I also sized down to a L in this one because I am pear shaped with narrow shoulders. It fits beautifully, even fully buttoned. It works great worn open and loose with the tank, or anything else as well, under it.

If you have a body style with wider shoulders or a fuller bust I would not size down. Get it to fit the top (on both of these sweaters) and the hip area takes care of itself.

Hope this helps!

Weight of the original swing is heavier than the recent swing cardigan. I am a 1x and have the original swing pullover. Found my usual 1x too large, but kept it anyway.

Ordered and returned the cardigan - sizing issue (many found them missized, I downsized and ordered an XL and it fit like a 3x).

So many ladies love the swing pullover and report that they find it slimming, but honestly, I think it adds too much heavy fabric to my problem area.

It is a great piece, though. I just wouldn't call it sliming for my body style.

I am almost exclusively a large in Linea except for the WK sweaters. In those I order a medium and the fit is perfect. I have the original swing sweater in three colors and it is definitely more substantial in feel than the swing cardigan. For whatever reason the medium in the swing cardigan were huge so I ultimately ordered smalls in three colors with the matching tanks. They fit me perfectly, much like the mediums I normally order- go figure! I've already worn the blue swing cardigan and received many compliments on the color and style. Love them both!

Thank you for your responses. I have ordered 2 of the Swing Sweaters and I hope they are flattering on me. My shoulders are broader than my hips, so a swing style usually works for me. I think I'll wait to receive them before trying the cardigan. Thanks again.

I did wear the swing cardi buttoned with no tank or cami under it and it was ok, but I am more comfortable with something under it as I am short waisted and vees tend to vee too low for me! It's quite pretty worn buttoned, floaty and of course gives a nice spot for a necklace if you want, or statement earrings.

It's lighter weight as the swing sweater. I am wearing mine now like the Halston TSV sweater, as an outer piece over another sweater or top. Love it, just the right length for me.
