Linea Big Deal Models

I love watching Linea shows but watching the Big Deal live shows I do think maybe a wider range of model sizing could be shown.

They seem to have mostly models who are extra small, small and of course lovely Maria who is posted as 16-18 but very rarely a medium or large - it would be helpful to see Jackie or maybe a medium petite showing his line.

They are selling a dream. They are featuring those who they think will look good in their clothes. Those of us who don't fit the criteria which might be all of us... really don't figure in their sales model.

I agree @dulwich. Being a petite I would like to see some shorter models, but Louis is a true designer and I think tall, slender models are his comfort zone to best show off his designs as it is with most designers. It's ok though since I have never been disappointed in any purchase I have made in the Linea line. His fabrics are such great quality. Love anything in whisper knit and his ponte pant fabric.

Maybe you should ask Louis on his blog about using different models. I know he has used these girls for years and years and they have become close. They were all friends with Jac so there is a loyalty factor.

It wouild have been nice to have an average height model to give us a more accurate gauge for the length. I think it would be a good length for me but the measurements on the chart seemed so out of line with Linea blazers and jackets and trenches I have ordered in the past.

I love Louis’s models, but it would be nice to have more variation in sizes. So many of the models are so close in size. That’s why I always find it helpful to know what size the various hosts are wearing, especially because I am in between sizes.

The hosts are all different sizes and Amy and Courtney are petite so I can usally get a good idea from them too though I am not petite.

the models louis uses are all great and you can tell how much they love him. however, i agree (and actually would love to see this across all of the fashion shows.) would love to see a wider variety of sizes in the outfits. i dont need to see two or three XS and a S only plus one plus size. i prefer seeing some mediums, largers, even a 3x modeling items.

Louis does have and use his core models but I too would love to see other sizes and heights especially (in short a wider range).

When I watch Issac and some of the other designers I see models that I have never seen before or only once in a while so I'm not sure if they have their own or what.

I thought at first when I saw the Big Deal posted that it was too short only to look at the measurements and see that the length was doable for me but I still would have liked to see it on a shorter model.

loveitorleaveit the jacket was on Amy, and Nancy Hornback who did the noon show, and they are both petite, then it was on Courtney and she is petite, so it was shown on petite women.

I actually think the sizes are pretty well represented. By now I know my body and what lengths will/will not look right. If I watch, which is rare these days, it’s more to get ideas on how to wear something, combining colors etc., than on sizing. With so much shopping done online these days (and NO modeling whatsoever other than maybe a photo on a size 2 , 5’10” model), I am pretty much used to shopping this way with a lot of success. With many sites offering free returns, it is not really an issue. I rarely order anything from Qvc anymore.

Maybe it's no accident this jacket was styled on petite hosts, as it's most flattering on them. Could be a coincidence, tho...On Amy, the entire look was perfect. But, on 5'8, plus-sized Maria, it also looked fabulous!

Even though I am many sizes larger than Jac was, her height, proportions & coloring closely synched up with mine, so she was who I always looked to on whether or not something would work for me. I was never disappointed. I've saved all of Jac's photos in all the various outfits I purchased over the years, just to remind me how to put it all together. I forget!

EDIT: Those photos of Jac also make me smile remembering a lovely, beautiful lady.

I think the jacket looked great on Amy and Nancy because they are both petite.
