Pretty in Pink.

As some of you may know, I lost my dear twin sister in June. Each day is a struggle to get through. Dear sister love the color pink and I ordered a pink tree a few months ago.

For months I've waited on painters! After quotes and I have accepted, they disappear. I've taken down curtains, drapes and all mirrors preparing for painters. I tried covering the windows so that neighbors can't see through.

I don't sleep and this morning at 3am I took the tree out of the box.It's a 5ft tree, however, I decided to use just the middle and top section, the addition of the bottom made it too heavy for me to put together.

The top of the tree (star) I need to reinforce it's leaning.

We saved mom's pretty flocked table cloth, it's gorgeous. It's over 40 years old and the quality is superb.

I need to decorate the tree, I put a couple ornaments on it, one is beautiful glass ornament and another glass owl. There's a plane ornament I gave my dear sister when she took early retirement.

I'll finish up this week sometime.

It's beautiful and such a nice way to honor your sister's memory. My heart aches for you as I'm very close to my sister and can't even imagine her not being here. Bless you.

Thank you, I've given myself two days to finish it. It looks so bare without her favorite mirrors around it.

I hope so, the table cloth is a rectangle and it was quite a job to get it to hang evenly. My beloved sister and I always put a snow blanket around the base of the tree with light under it peeking through. We lived together for over 23 years.

I love the pink! When you finish up it's going to be so pretty. Your sister would have loved it...in fact, I bet she's loving it already. I am so sorry she is not with you physically but she's obviously deep within your heart and soul. And the only thing I'll say about your boyfriend is it's better for him to be sleeping on the job then running around with a Christmas ornament in his mouth while tearing up the decorations. Been there, done that. LOL!

He looks a lot like my boyfriend from the little bit I can see of him. Hmmmm, he better not be cheating on me/us! haha

I can't see him too well, he looks like a scruffy terrier mix ? That's what mine is....

What a beautiful, feminine, sweet tree!

Christmas is such a difficult time, particularly so soon after the loss of your beloved sister.

May your heart heal a bit with each passing day; I'm sure your sister is watching out for you and sending her love to you every day.

Here's my boyfriend, My Reilley, he's anxious for a walk and is barking and dancing at me.

I don't share my boyfriend but he's always ready for a cuddle and a treat, he'd be a cheap date, he's happy with a bone.🥰

My Reilley is part terrier, my dear sister and I rescued him years ago. The vet believes he's part Yorkie and Chihuahua, I know I spelt that wrong.🙂

My Reilley is 13.
