Did anyone buy Valerie's spider glitter ball?

The light and fan mechanism are fully visible in the ball. The fan cycles on and off every 6 seconds. Is anyone else's doing this, or is this possibly defective? TIA!

I did! It arrives tomorrow.

Just kidding…mine is out for delivery. I will test tonight and let you know. I did just go back and watch video and the little bit I saw the fan didn't appear to stop.

🕷 Over the past few years, so many of her products with glitter globes, lights, color morphing, anything with a moving mechanism, are noisy and don't work as promised, sometimes completely shutting down. Such a disappointment, as many of her products are so pricey.

Val really needs to have a seriouse sitdown with her friends from China to resolve this issue.

Or perhaps consider the " Proudly Made in the USA" manufacturing concept.

Mine arrived and I love it!

The fan does cycle every few seconds to swirl the glitter around with a pretty sparkle affect. I have the globe resting on Valerie's 24" black pedestal candle holder and it looks fantastic. I may try using the adapter/cord at some point because I'm thinking of leaving the globe out after Halloween. From a distance, the web design has more of a lacey look to it, creating a unique night light.

@ManyMeows - I agree with you on quality control issues. I wasn't going to buy any more liquid glitter items for that very reason, but I love Halloween and couldn't resist. That's why I'm taking a poll to make sure mine wasn't a dud!

I have the winter version of this from a couple of years ago. It is all white with a sleigh, and reindeer in the overlay. I keep it out on my nightstand year round plugged in. It still works beautifully, and of course has a timer function. It is heavy, as Rick mentioned.

I bought this spider glitter ball as soon as I saw it. Mine is on the way.

Got mine today! YES, the light and fan are clearly visible when you're up close, but from a distance I think it looks great, especially with the gold glitter.

The fan does turn on every few seconds to circulate the glitter.

My only complaint is the WHITE cord - couldn't Valerie have provided a black one?

Mine came! The motor cycles intermittently, but I don't hear any noise. I can see the fan, but it isn't obtrusive.

As another poster said, the cord should be black. I bought several things with cables from HSN like this recently, and all the cables are black.

It was nice Valerie included the electrical plug part of the cord most do not, my only issue is that I can't plug it in. It has a rectangular plug and the glob appears to need a round connection. I don't see anywhere else to plug it into the globe.

@MG Chris There should be 2 pieces for the electrical plug..the "adapter" that plugs into your electrical outlet and then the "cable" where the square end connects to the adapter and the round end inserts into the globe.

I got the wrong cord. Mine is rectangular on the end whereas yours is round.

Too bad I didn't get this a few days ago, I have a glittered lantern from Val and could have used that cord. I already packed it away and it is in storage.

Yes, it has the USB port on one and a small rectangular plug on the other end. I have rechargeable items that use this same cord, so I can use the cord.

I have several Halloween things I bought from HSN that have the same cord as this needs and they are black so I am going to try one of those and see if it works.

I reached out to Val on FB and let her know they are shipping with the wrong cord and to consider making cords in the color to match the item in the future.

I have a million cords and can fix this easily or use batteries. The cord issue aside, I am very much into cord management. I cannot stand cords showing if at all possible. Having the wrong color cord is poor attention to detail. Val has been doing this long enough and should know better.

Yes mine came yesterday. It is very heavy and nice but the cord that came with mine has a flat end instead of the round male end. Called customer service and they can't replace the cord with the correct one. Haven't put batteries in it yet so I cannot speak to its operation.

Hmmm. It looks like there may have benn different cords sent out - one that works (having a square end for the plug in adapter and a round end for the globe)...Perhaps a pic of the one you got would be helpful for the rest of us.

I don't hear anything. The globe sits about 10 feet away from where I typically sit and, honestly, I don't hear anything coming from the globe. Sometimes I do hear a slight clicking sound from one of my Luminara candles but not from this globe.
