So glad this weekend is almost over ...... certainly QVC has data on viewership during this time??? I consider myself organized but buying something this early is just not right!

Obviously they do have data and it must support their CIJ programming as it gets bigger and bigger every year.

Given the problems with shipping and availability issues that keep cropping up, I think this year especially CIJ makes sense.

Why? Why is it not right? Why is it not right, If you KNOW you want to try something new in holiday decorating and want it delivered to your door, is it wrong to get it BEFORE you want to put it up? To Want to KNOW you will have it in your posession instead of wondering if it will be delivered on time? WHY is it not right to want to pay a lower price today when you know you will see the same item in the future at a HIGHER PRICE? Humm?

Well a lot of things won't be the same some time in the future...because many were the only order of the year and things sold out.

And less important than data on viewership is the data on sales! The channel doesn't exist merely for entertainment viewing. It exist for sales.

Obviously, a lot of folks are appreciating the programming and buying. Not your cup of tea, that's fine. I doubt any of us who are enjoying and shopping are going to apologize, or agree with your assessments.

I buy regularly & didn't buy a thing this weekend. In my opinion, those buying this early just want to check things off list - not a lot of thought!

@Matchup, I doubt those food items are inventory from last year. To me, what they are, are products that many look forward to purchasing every year. That's why they're offered.

Perhaps you don't enjoy them, but there is certainly a whole heck of a lot stuff QVC sells that I don't enjoy seeing time, and time, and time again. I figure, let those that enjoy it have their fun.
I'll just watch another time.

I can understand there are some programs you don't like. There are categories I don't like, so I watch other channels during those times.

Why can't those who enjoy shopping CIJ do so without being criticized and those that don't shop keep their opinions to themselves and change the channel. Their are some that bait and enjoy conflict, and are so interested in others buying habits. They should tend to their business and let others alone.

The CIJ fits right in with QVC's practice of taking advance orders to be shipped one or months later. That will only hurt the people who start Christmas decorating at Halloween. How about some witches wearing Santa hats or vampires standing under the mistletoe? Call it the Nightmare before Christmas collection.

They sold 211,000 of the TSV so someone is enjoying the day! You can count me in since I was one of the 211,000. I also purchased the fresh balsamic wreaths for the delivery week I decorate my home. I believe you have to grab on to anything that brings enjoyment to you and your family, even if it something as simple as CIJ. Merry Christmas!
