WOW! Updated Luminaras With New Feature!

Did anyone see the updated Luminara candle-- when you turn off or blow out the candle instead of a plastic flame, the flame "disappears" and it turns into a burnt wick making these candles even more realistic....

I would have ordered one to try it, but with it being more than 100 degrees for the next couple of weeks I was afraid Id just get melted wax....Will have to wait for cooler months. to try them...

Reviews are. It will be expensive

I'm sitting here looking at all my Luminaras thinking, do I really want to spend a few hundred dollars just to replace them all, to just have a wick showing during the day time ? Hmmm 🤔

I'm thinking I'd just mix the new technology with the old....if the new is spectacular Id just put those candles in more prominent places...... Just like I do with some special Candle Impressions carved candles with fall motives....I mix em in with my Luminara....

I watched the presentation and am very tempted to buy them, but I want to wait for the reviews. Candle Impressions presented "new' candles last evening that very closely resemble Luminara. The dancing flame and design are almost identical-the flame just doesn't dance as much.

I love Luminara's new idea of the realistic looking wick, "extinguishing" flame, and think it's a great idea that once again sets them apart.😊

I decided to try one! I'm a fan of Luminara. I have them all over our home, a lot in lanterns! I have fond memories of my first one- I was out at a meeting. DD was a teenager and picked her younger brother up from a Boy Scout meeting. He walked in the family room, saw the mantle, and said to her, " Oh no. Mom forgot to blow out the candles!" DD knew about them, so she enjoyed playing along - nothing like teasing little brother! I miss those days!

Anyway I showed these to DH, who was definitely not sure we need another candle. I will put it on the entry table or an end table so we - and I hope someday not too far in the future my friends- can enjoy this new technology!

@Spurt @Awesome new feature! If the reviews are positive and Luminara is able to fit this same technology into smaller pillars, say 3" wide x 4 or 5" tall, I think I'll be trying some. The ones today are bigger than I could use.

They look great! The one thing I always disliked about Luminara candles was the look of the plastic flame when they're not on. But I'm not replacing all my old candles, and I can't buy any more!! I have no more room for them!!

Oh, that's so cool. I would love to give one a try, but like other posters here, I don't want to ship when it is so hot. I would be extremely disappointed to melt a $50 candle. Also, I prefer a 5-inch candle.

It is a neat feature but not one I care about. I’m not trying to fool anyone with these candles. The remote also lets you make it brighter or softer and make it flicker more or less. These are options I don’t want to pay for since I don’t see myself using them. Also the more bells and whistles means more things that can “break” so-to-speak. It’s interesting the candle can have a wick and a flame, but not enough for me to order and try it. For now.

I just ordered two of them, one of each size. I don't have any Luminara candles in my house. I can't have real candles because of my cat. I ordered two brass candlesticks from Pottery Barn. I've been trying to come up with a way to redo my mantel, and this will be great!

I'm so glad I read this post today. Thank you for posting about this @Spurt ! I'll post a review and pictures when I receive them. The EDD is July 22nd. I hope I really do get them by that time. The EDD from Pottery Barn is July 16 - 20. July 20th is my birthday, so this will be my birthday present to myself.

Wow! What a cool feature! I’m happy with the Luminaras I have and won’t replace them, but I would consider getting some of these once I read reviews and if they come out with more color options/styles.

I saw it and couldn't believe it! I suggested some time back that this might be happening some day. I should have patented my idea! LOL

I'm not ordering because I have like six million candles, and I'm trying not to buy made in China, and I want to see how these really work in the long term. It's another moving/electronic feature that has the potential to malfunction, so I'm going to wait to see how well they perform in the real world, how well they last, and hopefully for the prices to come down!.

This does finally address the issue of the plastic flame just sitting there when not lit. Makes me wonder what the next upgrades could be! LOL

And I want to see some rustic finishes and great colors in this line. I'm going to hold out and not settle for the boring ivory on this one. I love the tap feature as well. I have some Bethlehem Lights flameless candles with that feature and I love it.
