Once again Valarie and others have not included one thing just for Hanukkah Im not even Jewish and find it strange I include a menorah in my house and put some dreidels stars etc om my tree I just wish we could all have fun or respect all religions I have been looking for a flameless candle menorah for years I also would love a luminara advent wreath Wow That would be so cool I will make one out of all my candles but I would love pink and purple

I’m Jewish & DH is Catholic.We aren’t religious but we love celebrating the rich cultures of both religions.We light a Hanukkah menora 🕎 & decorate our Christmas tree 🎄 with both Christmas & Hanukkah ornaments.

I don’t understand why a company as big as QVC doesn’t do more to market Jewish themed items.✡️ 🇮🇱

I agree...Im Roman Catholic not Jewish, but QVC should sell more things for the Jewish holidays. It should not be over looked. Hopefully things will show up soon. I cant imagine QVC would not think of that.

I have been saying this for years..you will see aisles and aisles of Christmas docorations and maybe 1/2 a shelf of Chanukah decorations. I went into a dollar store last year and asked where the Chanukah decorations were and they said we will not have any..I said ok, I won't be back in your store again. I hardly have any choices for greeting card either, for my family.

@NicksmomESQ I could have written your post!...and I agree! I don't understand why the Q doesn't offer more items for Hanukkah decorating....did you see the lone menorah on a shelf in the background on one of the sets?

It was not even "placed"

It was like someone had it in their hand & set it down to go do something else.

I went to the Q search box and typed in Hanukkah and there were many menorahs to choose from, along with several crystal dreidals that were beautiful. The Q also sells Hanukkah cookies. Just because Valarie does not sell Hanukkah items does not mean the Q does not.

The only reason I can imagine that they don't use their airtime to sell Judeica is that it doesn't sell well enough. I spend my winters in an area with a large Jewish population and I always surprised when a store opens and then closes within a year or two. It's got to be a volume issue - which is the same issue for almost everything that appears and then disappears.

I just ordered what I think is a really cute Hanukkah gift for some friends. It is a Hanukkah Gingerbread House on Amazon. They have a lot of Hanukkah items.

This may explain why the Q does not set aside an hour time slot to sell Hanukkah items. The Jewish population in the US is simply just not big enough. @terriebear I never expected an hour time slot for Hanukkah items. Maybe just one or two items presented during show or a few more over a weekend focusing on holiday (Christmas) items. That would be nice and & I'm sure they would sell.

The Jewish population is small in the US which most are aware of. However they would buy if offered some nice things and see it presented. BTW, a high number of regular vendors are Jewish.

@terriebear I never said they should dedicate an hour to Hanukkah items.Just some meaningful air time! I’m sure if all their Jewish customers stopped shopping they would lose far more than 2% of their sales!!

Jewish customers spend a lot of money on QVC!!

There is a very small menorah on the, side-maybe 5-6 inches big.

Qvc seems to be a very Christian place. They are certainly not alone.

Btw Jane Tracey always mentions Chanukah.

Many of the vendors are Jewish

@softwareI'm not Jewish so I don't really understand the nuance of Menorahs but if it was me, I'd want one with a bit more elegance. Like the mother of pearl one QVC has. In fact i think that one would be a good choice for QVC to put on set.

I'm not Jewish nor do I have any close friends that are, so maybe I'm way off base here, but, I get the impression that the celebration of Hanukkah revolves around much less of the 'trappings' than does Christmas.

Cards, gift wrap, in Hanukkah theme would seem appropriate, as there are gifts given. But the menorah is about the only 'decor' piece (sorry if that seems insensitive) related to the holiday that I'm aware of.

Christmas has Santa, elves, reindeer, trees, nativity, etc. So many things to bring to various mediums, but what is there similar in the Jewish faith for Hanukkah?

And I have noticed a lot of blue in things like flameless candles, and other decor items that hosts mention would work for Hanukkah, so it is addressed at least a little bit.

As for gifts, people give the same types of gifts for both faiths/holidays, so no need for those things to be different.

For those that would like Jewish themed items, what else would there be to include? (that is a true question, not a challenging statement! lol)

And sometime this year, I remember a vendor talking to a caller on air who was asking for some Hanukkah based items and the vendor said some are in the works (for next year). I want to say it was Temp-tations, but I could be very wrong about which vendor.

I would love to see Luminara do an advent wreath, too. Even Mirage could do one.

Hanukah is a minor holiday. Years ago it became visible because of it's closeness on the calendar to Xmas.

I have the menorah that was my grandmother's. I only gift children. I don't remember when I last recieved a Hanukah gift.

Acknowledgement is another thing. The Q used to acknowledge the High Holy days. I don't think they do that anymore.

If anyone who is not Jewish wants to buy cards, etc. I recommend you call a large synagogue. The Sisterhood (a women's group) often sells Judaica items.

I remember Joan Rivers taking a call from a woman who told her she should sell in Israel. Joan's reply: "Jewish women shop." I suspect the Q has many Jewish customers,
