I also like looking at crafters who create things in their own small businesses. Potters, weavers, people who create things and sell on Etsy etc.

I have found a lady here in Ohio that makes the most thick warm mittens from felted wool of old clothing products. They are simply beautiful and such pretty practical gifts. I know there are people on ebay and Etsy that do that as well.

@Snowpuppy started a thread in Home forum about American Blanket Company.

Got me to thinking that last year sometime I started a thread about companies that manufacture here, and with Christmas and other holiday gift giving coming, we might like to share companies we know of or have purchased products from made in USA.

It is a global economy, so most of the things we list here may not be 100% made or from materials sourced here, but let's see what we can come up with for those of us that like to support American manufacturing.

One Christmas several years ago, we tried to do an all American made Christmas, and came up with some great products and gifts.

I'll start with a couple of companies who's products I love.

Wendell August Forge in Ohio and PA. They make hand forged metal products from Christmas ornaments, trays, book marks, key chains, bowls to jewelry. I highly recommend their items, and they have been well received. I love to give the ornaments and the bookmarks especially.

USA Pan. Best metal non stick bakeware I've ever seen or used. Can't recommend the product more. Such well crafted pieces, heavy and substantial, and they bake so well.

Please add companies you have used and love, or ones that maybe you found to be lacking, so we can know that before buying.

PLEASE DON'T POST LINKS to other retailers, as it will get the thread closed.

We are again this year, trying to source more gifts from local and USA manufacturing, so please contribute!

I wish QVC would have a regular show, showcasing Made in USA products.

I used to buy lots of Devawear (I think that was the name) tops, they were made in USA, by women working out of their homes. Last time I went there, they had somehow changed, didn't have a full inventory yet, and I just never went back. I mean to someday. Their clothes were all cotton, and lasted very well. I still wear some I wore 25 years ago.

I checked, and it's now Deva by Cammy. Using the same made in USA fabrics. Looks like they're even using some of the pictures I remember lol.

USA Pan are good heavy duty bakeware. When I need some new I will be buying more of it.

American Blanket makes blankets with fleece. Those come in handy when it's freezing & your power goes out. They really help keep you warm.

Over 35 years ago, I started collecting Pfaltzgraff Heritage, the white with 12 sides. Thought I'd look back into it. Turns out, it was made in U.S.A.! Looked all over their website, and on the Wiki, but no indication that it still is. Anyone know? Would love to start using it again, for special times when Corelle just doesn't seem to fit, and add a few of their Christmas pieces.

I have Tara's Harvest, they're beautiful, but pricey, considering the problems people have.

Surprised to find it's still available.

Edit: So disappointed, thought to look on QVC, I guess they're all made in China now. Will try to find older pieces on Ebay. Pity.

I love products from a local Atlanta company and she has a website. No storefront. It’s Honeysuckle Soap Company. If you google, you‘ll find it.

Specifically, I love her Orange Cranberry Lotion and Hand Therapy Cream.

I started thinking about those cute little puzzle boxes they used to have on the gift shows and wondered if those were made in USA. I think they are...they're hand carved. They really ought to show those more, they still have some in stock. It sent me off on a whole tangent looking for them, the seller is Carver Dan. Who interestingly enough was involved with Epcot and the building of Discovery Island. Which don't even get me started on how interesting Discovery Island is to me, I could research it and watch videos on it all day long. Total nerd.

I support Beekman 1802 because it's made in America and they support their local artisans.

The goat soaps are wonderful -

Martha Stewart has a program called American Made. I wonder if she will bring this to QVC at some point.

@Mominohio Thanks for this post! I had not seen it before. I like:

Old Whaling Co - for good smelling soaps that don't make my eyes weep.

My Pillow

Lodge - the products that are made in USA, some are not.

Asher's Chocolates - OH MY!

Harry London Chocolates - my kids love them and the holiday tins offered on QVC

Soap Rockets - They used to be made near us; now I can't find out where they're made

VenetianCharm - Very pretty items! Handmade jewelry, and they did a fundraiser for my granddaughter.

I love this idea of promoting American-made products for next Christmas. I would enjoy ordering some items that were featured long ago in the 50-state tour. QVC should get to work on this right away!
