LISA'S CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS - LOVE THEM!

Has anyone ordered Lisa Robertson's Christmas decorations? I had ordered many of hers in the past at the Q and still love and will use them for many years to come.

I just ordered the "Holy Family" figurine from Lisa and it is absolutely stunning. I will start putting out my holiday decor the week before Thanksgiving.....yep, I start a little early. How about you?

This is what I ordered from Lisa, the "Holy Family" figurine. It is a wonderful size and very well done. I love it. It is sold out now, though, as many of her things are.

She's got some beautiful things, but her prices are way to high IMHO. I've seen similar products at much more reasonable prices and in a case or two the identical product for significantly less (the clip on battery candles are at Kirkland for $30.)

@starksc....you mentioned in another thread where to find Lisa's beaded fruit garland, etc. I do have those same ones in the garland, wreath and teardrop shapes and they are stunning.

I am sorry that I do not know where you can find these elsewhere, unless you can check on EBAY. I do believe that Valerie and Jill have designed a similar set of the fruited decorations but not in the same colors as Lisa had. I hope you find what you are looking for soon.

@Buck-i-Nana....I agree with your statement, exactly. I have seen these candles at other places for a lot less and would buy them or anything else with the same quality elsewhere at a lower price.

The "Holy Family" figurine though is something I have not seen elsewhere and I am happy with my purchase of that. But, I will continue to shop around for things at the best price possible. I must try to keep my "wits" about me, lol.

@cherry....thank you, I do love this figurine. This piece is a substantial size (one piece) and the detail of the flowing robes, faces, arms, etc., are exquisite. I see where Lisa will be offering a set with the wise men and angel, but those are more "rustic" looking and I am not particularly fond of that color from what I saw from her picture. Besides, I already have a nativity set that I use in white porcelain, and will continue to use, but this figurine will be used in another room.

@DREAMON......I am so very sorry you missed this. Check back though, because sometimes people do change their minds and they become available again. Maybe next year, Valerie will offer something like what Lisa did.

I agree the items are a tad expensive. I'm okay with that though if I find one or two that I love. Shell, it sounds like it will fit in with what you have. Enjoy it.

I think the Holy Family is beautiful as well. I like that it is one piece, too.

I took a brief look at some of LR's holiday offerings, and I have to say I thought the prices way out of line. Very pretty things, just too expensive for me to purchase, because there are now so many options out there to get great holiday decor at much less.

I like good quality holiday decor, but in reality, it sometimes becomes things that we only use for a few years, or rotate using it every other or third year, and for the few weeks per season it is out, I'm more about the 'look' than the actual quality of the piece.

I find things at TJ Maxx, Q on LTS or 'as is', at Hobby Lobby 50% off or more etc. that give me the same 'look' and 'style' of some of these high dollar boutiques and shops. For me, with the exception of the occasional piece that is just so unique or special (like that Holy Family), I know I can find similar, elsewhere, for less.+

Many of us are old enough to remember when this was not the case. Before the advent of internet shopping, and big chain stores, my only option for high end looking holiday decor was to frequent small shops, or higher end department stores. Our choices were fewer, and the outlets providing higher end merchandise could get a good price for it. We either settled for 'dime store' look and quality, or paid those higher prices in the shops and dept. store. Luckily we now have so much choice to find nice things at a much lower price.

@starksc....hey, you asked on another thread about Lisa's beaded fruit garland/wreath she offered a couple of years ago here at the Q.

FOUND this (wreath) only at the Q here.....item H-203803. They are also showing her garland on EBAY.

Like I said, I have her wreaths, garland and teardrops and love them. Even if you only wanted the garland ...another idea would be to order a couple of wreaths and snip off the fruit, pine cones and leaves and intertwine in green garland you already have.

@Mominohio....I agree, wholeheartedly, with your point of view. The "Holy Family" figurine is even more beautiful in person. I am so happy I purchased it....but, that is all I will buy. Hope you are doing well.
