Do you mean a Christmas skirt?

I have very small ones from years ago.

Recently I've been using cotton fluff you can by on a roll or in a package, no sparkles on it. I wrap it around the base and fluff it out. Sometimes I put small battery lights under it, it glows from under the fluff.

I bought a new tree skirt in CIJ, but last year I used a plaid throw.
I have a friend that she bought a huge winter scarf with sparkles or sequins. It was white and beautiful.

@goldensrbest something from your fashion accessories - how about a scarf or wrap. Something in a plaid or winter theme print if you have it. Baby sized blanket or throw.

A scarf or table runner would work if you want to wrap it around the base - sure.

I have a faux holly wreath that I use on my small tree. It works perfectly on the table and covers the holder. I personally don't care for tree skirts on a small tree.

You could also wrap a faux garland or use some picks.

All work well.

A fluffy throw works nicely.

Or you can buy faux fur pieces on Amazon.

I have a pretty, small, Christmas Plaid table cloth that was my mom's I sometimes wrap around the base of my full sized tree.

So many things you may already own can work just fine to cover the base.

I follow Wyse Guide on FB and he loves to put his faux trees into either a big old tin vintage tub, or a decorative basket. For certain trees that can work and look nice. I love his FB Lives (he just did one decorating one of his trees...rustic type he put in a basket) and he always does such a nice job.

I also love watching "Stay Fabulous" with Nisha on YT, when she decorates..she has a very specific, feminine, girly vibe, but does some pretty displays. She uses a lot of those faux fur pieces and says she buys them on Amazon.

But before buying anything, I'd check your stash of scarves, throws etc, as people have suggested, you might have something that works very nicely.

We have a smaller tree, about 3½ feet tall, on a drum table (gifts go at the base of the table, which has a round, holiday tablecloth covering it.) I do have a small skirt for the tree. They can look too "flat," though, so I also put a small, red, towel around the base and fluff that up a little. A flat tree skirt is good, however, if you plan to put something else at the base of the tree. For example, sometimes I'll decide to add a small manger scene at the base, so the flat tree skirt works well to support the figures which, in turn, help provide depth.

A cloth place mat worked for me one year. I had some that were red with green stiches in the shape of a tree and that worked great.

@goldensrbest I have used pretty fabric, an old quilt and I have a crocheted piece that my aunt made for me years ago....you could also put the base inside a large basket or other vessel.

The second post asked how small a tree, and I can't see where that question was ever answered. To me recommendation vary depending on the answer.

So how small is small? Some might consider a tabletop 2' small while to others anything 5' and under is small.

My mom used a whire sheet draped around to mimick snow.

You can buy cotton batting to do the same.

There are thousands of v tree skirts for sale as well.
