New Vera Bradley Patterns

It has been awhile since there have been any VB's discussed here. It has also been awhile since I have bought a Vera because I preferred my old bags & purses to what they have been bringing out. Well, that all changed his past week. I went to my local retailer to check out Coral Floral. Coral isn't one of my favorite colors but this one I like. Plus there are blues, pink, red & green to work with. They also released a new crossbody that I wanted to check out. It is the All Together Crossbody. It is a little larger than the All In One & fits a larger iPhone. Lots of pockets & organization, plus a checkbook holder, if you still carry checks. It doesn't have the fabric strap that I would prefer, but I can deal with that. The Coral Floral All Together is now on my shelf waiting for warmer weather!

I like the Mandy in the Coral Floral. Kind of retro VB with the contrast print lining. Very cheery for warm weather and I like this style for its organization. Enjoy your bag...

Last year it was Santiago and I got the Weekender and the Mandy on discount with Macy's. perfect for summer travels.

I think the Floral Coral is very pretty. I’m more of a Vera Bradley accessories girl. I bought the mini notebook and the double cosmetic bag last week in Floral Coral.

Thank you for posting the pictures, @hicindy2. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the contrasting fabric interiors. Love your Mandy! We are supposed to be getting ready for a downsizing move in the next couple of years, so I have to limit my acquisitions. I have quite a few travel bags, so am just enjoying the ones I have.

I also look for the deals, the retailer had a coupon for $10 off any item in the store. Gotta love the deals!

i was looking forward to the coral bag to come out in January. Went to the VB store today to check it out and was disappointed. Didn't like it as I thought I would. Oh well - that is good news as I have too many VB bags anyway. There are a couple I saw in the preview book coming out later that I think I will like - a soft blue with florals and a watercolor looking floral.

One coming in I think February is pink and blue - might like that one.

I can relate, sometimes the colors & patterns aren't what I thought they would be. I have looked at new patterns only to find that the colors don't go with my existing wardrobe. I found this to be especially true with some of the blue selections. Like you, I have plenty of options to choose from already.

Thanks for the heads up on the upcoming new patterns, I will have to check them out!

@KathT- yeah, I love the mini notebooks. Usually an automatic buy for me when a new pattern comes out. And, like you, I frequently buy them for gifts.

Gives me a chance to get something in a new pattern without going "all in".

@hicindy2 The bottom one is the one I was thinking looked like watercolor in the book. Doesn't in your picture - brighter looking than in the book. I stil may like it as I like the colors shown in your picture.

The floral in the top picture is the one I thought had a soft blue background, but it looks almost Ivory in this picture. In the book it looked almost grey, but the clerk said it was more of a blue.

I like the tourquoise/orange in your picture, but did not see that one in the book. Hope it comes in a bag I like.

The pink and blue I saw for February isn't in your picture. I always look forward to seeing the new patterns (buy too many of them, but lately I have been lucky and haven't seen any I really want . I went into the store intending to purchase the coral, but dlid not like it when I saw it "in person". Thank for posting the pictures.

Purchased the "pill case" yesterday with VB's free shipping over the weekend ... bought it for my 6 vitamins I take daily--tired of opening bottles twice a day, hopefully it will now be less of a hastle.

Those pill cases are really great. They don't take up a lot of room but the pill compartments are deep & you can get a lot in them.

since tomorrow most of my friends & spouse will be glued to the tv from 1 pm on - I plan a trip to our local outlet mall. The VB store is having 50% + additional 30%. I haven't made a trip there in about 7 months plus I want to stop in to Coach. (Ive had my eye on a bag in there and someone told me they were having a sale also).

I never find any good deals at the Dooney outlet or MK. Its supposed to be a nice day and this is a nice outside covered walkway mall -- with many of the stores I like (plus stores for my GD).

I'm going to enjoy my day!

I wanted to post about the new crossbody I bought a few weeks ago. I love this bag. I like it so much that I ordered two more today for gifts for friends. Vera Bradley is doing 25% off right now and free shipping.

It’s the Midtown Crossbody and I got it in this pattern, Midnight Floral. It’s a terrific bag. Two zippered sections and there’s a center section between the two zippered sections. The bag isn’t quilted. It’s like a padded nylon material. It’s the material that first attracted me to the bag.

I recently ordered one of the outlet patterns that was recently released called Blueberry Blooms. I found it on the bay since there are no outlets near me. I got a Villager, a Little Hipster Crossbody & a Pencil Bag to use as a cosmetic bag.

I am also excited about the limited time release of Java Blue, Red Bandana & Anastasia, patterns from 2002. See the thread @hicindy2 started earlier. Java Blue is my all time favorite Vera pattern.
