I wonder what has happened with Oryany Bags!!!!!!

I haven't seen them in forever, and then I see they had a show but it was in the middle of the night.....I checked out their page, but hardly anything new.........I wonder if they are on their way out....I really like a lot of their bags and some of them are rather unique with beautfiul colors, wish they would have some more shows........

They had a show recently during day time hours. I think it was two weekends ago. They had new styles. Seems like they are reinventing themselves or at least that was my perception.

I think they are going downhill. They need to change their lining, if they are going to stay alive. I'll stick to my Dooney's.

I bought several of them from Q, and LOVE the look. However, I found them just WAY too heavy and bad for my back/shoulder/posture. I ended up selling them at a consignment shop.

I've been curious too, not only because they seem to largely have disappeared from here, but after being a significant presence in retail stores, I rarely see them anywhere. Of course, it's true that aside from a few stalwarts, bag brands come and go somewhat routinely.

Agree @faeriemoon. Not a fan of her one trick pony bags and wouldn't care if they did disappear... I don't think I can take seeing one more overdone reptile print. With so many bag lines out there, unless they've cut a non-compete deal with Dooney, there's really no reason for QVC to be stuck with so few brands...

Waiting for a satchel to arrive any day now that I purchased

on a consignment website. They rate their items describing any flaws, scratches, tears, lining issues, etc. So when the item arrives, there shouldn't be any surprises. This one read "you will think you bought it new". Grabbed it for a ridiculously low price.

I saw several Oryani bags at the Q outlet in February. I was not impressed with any of them. The leather is heavy. Not the best quality. Not interested in this brand at all. As another poster said, I will stick with Dooney and other faves including Aimee K. CK and Cole Haan when it comes to leathers.

They're decent bags, but not a brand I covet at all... Of the few I have, only a couple are probably destined to remain part of the collection... I guess I do prefer the brand to most other brands QVC offers, but that's not exactly much of a glowing recommendation...

Marshall's is a close-out store. They get leftovers after first line retailers have made their "buys" for the season. My only Oryany bag has never been used, its huge and has those tassle things all over. I can't cut them off without having the remainder unravel.

I think I posted about this on another thread about Oryani. They cannot be doing well.

I found this out by going to Glass Door and looking up the company. Employees complained about there not being enough work to do. Not a good sign. This was a few months ago.

I bought their TSV from roughly a year ago, a satchel and I chose the blush/pink color. It's beautifully done. The leather is quality and I've enjoyed carrying it. I also own one of their back pack purses and love that one as well. Same gorgeous leather, convenience in pockets and carrying it, really well done. But I agree regarding the lining. I can't stand the color and am not partial at all to Moroccan prints, actually can't stand them. They need to find a lining that isn't so jarring.....

Hope they come back. I love the fact that their leather hasn't been "shaved" in order to get twice the product out of the same yardage....(probably why it's heavier).... a really well known brand has decided to do this in order to lighten up their product.

I don't like that....

Just set to record any Oryany shows so you can watch them later, even if in they were on in middle of the night.

It does sound like they are on their way out, so I bet there will be many clearance bags some time soon.

I just bought one on ebay. I like it. It was not dirt cheap but cheaper than most on QVC. It was new. As far as heavy, I think Dooney is heavier. I hope Oryany bags do not go away I liked many of them.

I have no idea why some of you are spinning this theory that they are leaving. Their have been about 10 new bags in the last few months and Bethanie posted a pile of new bags on her facebook page weeks ago. Two new bags just went up this week.

Do you know what I think contributed this rumor? That rerun TSV a few months ago. The Sarah was offered a second time as a TSV but in fewer colors. I personally think it was a TSV glitch, where whatever was supposed to be offered didn't pass inspection so they had to switch gears at the last moment.

BTW, the Sarah is now at a clearance price. If you keep your eye on it they periodically offer free shipping on this bag. This is how I purchased it, and I really like it.

ORYANY handbag company is an indirect offshoot of the MAXX NY handbag company.

it is owned by the ex husband of cherie christmas.

if oryany folds then something else will probably pop up from one or the other.
