My problem with the GILI bags is that the contents are not secure. Anyone could stick a hand in one and take a wallet. I want a bag with more than a little magnet on a big opening.

I saw on Lisa's FB page that she will be selling handbags soon. The ones she has shown look nice. They have the nice croco effect like Brahmins. I have no idea how much she will be asking for them.

I think you guys ordered the original GILI TSV Verona hobo?

We had a flurry of conversation last March when it appeared.

Today, it's reduced from $266 ($212 TSV) down to $132 and free shipping. All colors available (did they overstock??).

So, it's worth it to me to try the blue ice again!

Love to hear if you kept yours from the first sale and what you think.

@jackiejenny: Oooh, congratulations on getting a great bargain on handbags! Hope you love the pink and camel, they look gorgeous on TV. Classic. The size and shape are exactly like the inspiration Gucci.

I ended up ordering both the blue ice (sold out) and pink cobra (with intentions to only keep one, but you never know with "snake" which will look best).

I don't even own a $132 handbag, since I tend toward higher end Dooney and Coach and have several LV. Thinking the blue or pink snake will be fun with blue jeans (high-low dressing), heels and pearls!

Thank you and the Gucci inspired shape helped reel me in! I am a Chanel/ LV girl myself, but one must branch out occasionally! I ended up getting two of the Barlow Florentine tote bags, and even though they are quite heavy, I am smitten with them.

I noticed your blue ice was sold out and I loved the pink snake as well and it sounds like you will be stylin' in your jeans, heels, pearls, and your new bags! I hope you love both! Enjoy~~~

I have 4 GILI Roma 2's that I love. I also have two beautiful Brahmin Anywhere totes. I am currently thinking about GILI Bag A282325 in black python. It is a great size to take for traveling so you do not have to carry a large bag.

Surprisingly, after being SOLD OUT for weeks during the Verona handbag sale, CAMO is back! (Wondering why?) Prior price was $266, now clearance at $132:

I have ordered AND returned many of the GILI Veronas, but kept the camo. Lush pebble leather, love it. (Removed the tassle thingy.)

UPDATE to the GILI Verona clearance:

Surprisingly, the supply of this bag which they are never going to bring back, dwindles, then resurrects. Hmm. I do believe, however, that the Verona will not come back.

As I mentioned I have and adore the Verona camo. The pebble leather is lush, it holds its shape, and is rather slender for a hobo. I do love the GILI lining and multiple pockets. Not a fan of the tassle thingy.

(I actually have the original Gucci Jackie this is modeled after. Which I also love, but am more cautious about using.)

The more I have enjoyed carrying the camo and the more I thought about the outstanding price—last week I got the BLUE ICE Verona on "as is" for $99. It arrived, wonderful, love it. I'm a demin gal and even have several adored denim kimonos and jackets, so the blue ice goes well.

Today, succumbing to the "potential buyer's remorse" for NOT buying a bag about to disappear (and at a clearance $), I bought the camel. It's a classic, always liked it, but thought the camo more whimsical.

Love to know if anyone else succumbed to the CLEARANCE PRICE or "as is" Veronas!

Also anyone who had the bad originally (I think it was a TSV once), are you using it? Enjoying?

I am happily redesigning/purging my clothes, shoes, handbags, keeping and duplicating what I love and use, passing on what I THOUGHT I'd love and use or USED TO love and use.

My Dooney Barlow side zip bags are among my faves. I have the Barlow in red, denim, chestnut, natural, and elephant. The quality is hard to beat. I don't think they are heavy, but I like thick saddlelike leather. Liking the newer Florentine Toscana bags, too!
