This PN bag deserves Special Mention (and maybe an Award)

The Patricia Nash Zola tote. Oh my heavens. Was zipping thru Macy's (surprise) and saw the distressed leather Zola tote in person. So squishy, so great. Bigger than I would like and can carry off but such a winner for those Big Bag Gals. I envy you !! Very light weight and pliable. I even liked the feather do da.

A discount available today. Watch for Labor Day weekend.

The navy was good (true deep midnight) but the muted olive stole my heart. If ONLY it was a tad smaller. Or I was taller. Wahhhhhh.

My Cousin had a substantial merchandise credit, at Macy's from a defective pair of shoes.

She went in, to look for shoes; came home with the Navy bag! It was the only one, in the style, they had in stock.

I've been looking for an olive bag, but this one doesn't seem to be the color I've been wanting... Not to worry, because I'm determined to own this one in navy... I've had my eye on it for some weeks and posted about it elsewhere...

@stevieb I know you have considered this one ...I was thinking of you. And @1Professor !! The olive is a very muted tone with hints of brown and gray. The Macy's gal said to take a look online soon for better Macy's discounts. You can always ship it to the store near you for pick up. For the investment, I would like to make my selection in person (if you can) because there are some small variances between the bags, you want to test the zipper, check the drop length etc. Plus, it is a very different leather treatment from her normal line and would puddle somewhat.

I sent an e-mail to the Patricia Nash website and asked if they will use this leather treatment in smaller bags.

Macy's didn't have the new drawstring, but that one is pretty in the berry tone. But is is just one big center compartment and I think that would make me crazy.

Probably my best bet: C'mon Evine. Get some new stuff !!

One last "Blah Blah" from me: this has an artistic vibe. Look how the shoulder strap feeds thru the brass reinforcements.

One last last thing: Macy's now has price alerts. You can select the bag from the website and hit "price alert" and put in your e-mail for when the price drops.

Strap looks comfy too. My Macy's didn't have this one (yet).

@hicindy2 Loving all the bags pictured, but covet the navy satchel-tote... I've checked and none of my local stores has one... Do you believe that... Not happy since I'd like to see it in person... Will keep an eye out for better prices and then will order and take my chances. Would rather have to return it to the store than go and pick it up... If I love it when it arrives and there are no flaws, then no trip to a mall will be required...

It's so new, no reviews yet. I ordered it and will report back.

@Suhse Such a deal. It was $249 and I got it for $114 and it is almost gone at Evine. I think it is like my grandma cleaning out the "ice box" to make room for the new. Probably just had a few left.

Either it is the worst new bag ever, or, I got a deal !!

Strange things, indeed on the Evine Patricia Nash site. Original shows cancelled, as already mentioned. Now one 1-hour show at 8 am ET tomorrow. However, if you click on a Patricia Nash bag, then click on SHOWS, then click on "show items" you can see the bags are ALL at a special price! And lots of them, for a one hour show.

One of my favorites, the Map Benvenuto!

@1ProfessorI noticed that as well. Most of her items are clearance priced. I'm not sure if they are clearing out the shelves to make room for the Fall items or just clearing out her inventory... I hope it's not the latter.

The Evine selecion is actually pretty meager right now. I suspect they're retooling, though Evine is sort of infamous for moving handbag lines in and out every few years. I'd posit, though, that this line has been successful for them and that if she wants to continue it there, they'll continue to carry it. At least one can hope. Some good prices right now, which is also unusual for them.

I'm sure that Evine wants her. I wonder whether she wants or needs them any longer. Her brand has grown tremendously at the dept store level and maybe she has outgrown Evine.
