Anybody know what type of leather the April Dooney And Bourke TSV handbag is made from? It looks different from pebble leather, or the smooth leather.

I thought it looked Saffiano-ish, except the grain goes both horizontally and vertically rather than just horizontally.

There's probably a different name for it; butfrom the pic I saw it has that Saffiano look to it.

The descriptions are much less detailed before an item is actually presented as a TSV. On that day they will beef up the description with all the important information. Until then, you just get the basics.

There is another thread that mentions that this Dooney April TSV (she wrote TSP though) looks like the Dooney.com Morgan bag and change purse for $358.

@EdithEllenLilyHi there Edith you cutie! Yes it is me, but look for me on 022 instead of this one. I was trying out an old nick at the time when all this sign in business was going on. I mainly use the 022. It's a shame about that bag that the handles stick up and won't go down. I hate that because I had a bag that the handles didn't go down and when I opened it up one of the straps poked me in the eye hahahahahaha I vowed to never purchase a bag again if the handles stick up and won't fold down. lol

I'm new at this for excuse me if I sound stupid. But how are you seeing what the TSV for Dooney is in April? I used to get the Insider and was told they are no longer offering it.

The insider is still available you just to ask. The way to see the tsv is type in blue sky's for me please in search yahoo, look for April 2016 it's there

Just ordered it in the Geranium. Can't wait to get it. It was a toss between that one and the blue- such pretty colors. Would love to read reviews from anyone that receives it (I'm in California and it will take a while).

The standing handles and nonremovable shoulder straps make it an easy pass for me. Curious as to why a bag would be designed this way.

Awkward style and weird strap configuration makes this any easy pass for me, too. I can't find anything I like about it. @RedRedHair

I mentioned in the other posting that there were several things about this TSV that disappointed me: the wacky handle configuration (can't remove the long dangly ones unless you cut them off!) the cheap unsewn, unrolled short handles, the plastic(!!!) feet on the bottom, and the zippers on the side that snag sweaters and other knit tops when they are opened to enlarge the bag. Lots of cutting corners and design flaws for an expensive purse.

Also: the magnet closure instead of a zippered top closure. They should have left those zippers off the sides, and used them on the top!

I agree. I also feel all brands seem to be cutting corners and making it seem like "new" designs but in reality we seem to be paying more for less. I like the design but will not be buying because I feel it's not worth the price for me anyway even with the "free" accessories. Just my opinion. Hope those who order will enjoy the bag in good health.

regarding the insider - call customer service and tell them you want it. I did & now receive it free

i like this bag but don't like saffiano, looks plastic to me.

The reviews said the handles were a pain.
