DOONEY TSV Feb 6th YELLOW BAG DEFECT ANYONE ELSE??

I love the Feb 6 TSV DOONEY Bag....the yellow Butter leather is a color you rarely find, it's lovely in person .....the problem is the huge tassel is supposed to have matching yellow leather on the inside and if you watched Sue Clifton it was a big selling point. My yellow bag has TAUPE LEATHER INSIDE TASSEL. I'm trying to figure out what to do because the yellow bags sold out first and aren't in stock.....I called CS which was useless, she implied it was supposed to be like that, clearly they don't watch the programs. She couldn't tell me if more yellow bags were coming in, or if there had been anyone else with the issue, or if DOONEY could help me. She mostly seemed irritated at me. No help there......

So I'm on my own and I'm trying to find out if I'm the only one or if there was a manufacturing defect with the YELLOW bags.

SO ANYONE WHO BOUGHT THE DOONEY TSV IN YELLOW PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOUR TASSEL INSIDE LEATHER IS MATCHING YELLOW OR TAUPE LIKE MINE.

Also, any advice would be great. Should I call DOONEY, since QVC was no help?

If that is the only issue, it really is not a defect. Perhaps during the assembly of the bag, someone accidentally put the taupe instead of the yellow. The yellow has sold out and it doesn't look like it is being reordered.

I would keep the bag.

I didn't watch the shows, as I wasn't interested in the bag, but for me, this wouldn't be a deal breaker. I'd surmise the more visible part of the tassle is intended to match the bag and the underside to complement the trim on the bag... In fact, looking at the pictures of the TSV, it appears that the tassles are all contrasting in tan leather, inside and out, so if the yellow was somehow supposed to be different, that would be a bit unusual. Calling Dooney is pointless. Not only is their CS a misery but this is a made for QVC bag that they are not selling elsewhere. I know many folks adore Sue Clifton and she's certainly knowledgeable and likable, but she does occasionally mis-speak. I could be wrong, but I suspect this is not a flaw at all and that should you order another bag, you'd find the same thing. Personally, I'd probably prefer the tassle provide some contrast to that rather large bag's wall of color.

This would not be a deal breaker for me. I ordered the bag early, and did not even know that the inside of the tassel was designed to match the color of the bag until I actually watched the presentation. The only person that would know about this defect would be you.

If you can't get assistance through D & B I belivve the only other option would be to return the bag.

Hi, first off, please relax. I didn't buy this Dooney TSV but I many of D&B Bags.

I looked at the TSV on the Insider (Online). The color you are speaking of must be Butter because there is no Yellow listed.

I have Blue, Burgandy, Natural, Black, etc. The inside of the tassles are not the same color. Even the leather strap on my Burgandy Bag is neutral on one side of the strap and on the inside of the tassel.

You should call D&B because you have a better chance of getting an answer. Customer Service at QVC only knows what they can read and not even then.

That is odd, because they did show in the presentation that the inside of the tassel matched the color of the bag.

@ChrisandCorena I watchd the shows and Sue and the different hosts showed the matching tassels. So your butter bag should have tassels with matching butter color on the inside. If it doesnt then in my opinion it is a defect.

You can return it and ask to not be charged for the return. But if the taupe tassel didnt clash with the butter color of the bag and i loved the butter, then i think I would keep it. But yes, calling Dooney or trying to get Sue C. to respond is indeed pointless. Someone suggested posting in Suggestion box or Q Talk and maybe one of the monitors can coordinate a solution.

All right, so I understand now, the outside of the tassel was supposed to match the trim, but the inside was supposed to match the body of the bag... It's a personal thing, but this still wouldn't be a big issue for me, as long as the inside didn't clash with the bag, which it seems it doesn't. Again though, contacting Dooney is not going to resolve this matter if, indeed, it continues to be seen as an issue. The bag will probably be back in butter at some point, though I guess there's no guarantee, so it does seem the only options are to live with it or return it, perhaps for another color, but, to me, either choice would be extreme if I otherwise loved the bag.

if it is supposed to be "yellow" on the inside of the tassel for a "pop of color" (as sue clifton states on the video) then i would consider that a manufacturing defect, especially if it was pointed out that the tassel on the inside would be the same color as the body of the bag on the video. if it isnt a deal breaker for you then call qvc and request some type of credit for the defect. if they dont, then send the handbag back if it isnt to your satisfaction.....make sure to note the defect so you wont be charged shipping to receive and to send it back.

it never hurts to ask for a discount.

@ChrisandCorena There is another thread about the Dooney 2/6 TSV where ladies who actually purchased the bag have posted. Maybe if you posted your question there, someone who actually received the bag can tell you what color their tassel is. That might help you determine if they all have the same issue or not.

It's possible that the bags on the show were prototypes and the actual production bags that were shipped all have the monotone tassel color. If yours was a fluke and other ladies received the matching inside tassel color, then you can decide if it's worth it to do an exchange once the butter color is back in stock. Good luck!

I got the butter color and didnt even take notice till i read your postt.i just went and checked and mine DOES have matching yellow in the tassel. Yours may have gotten the wrong one with the bag. I would definitely call QVC or D &B if it bothers you.
