Am I totally lacking in taste, and appreciation for designer bags?

Or is this Chanel hideous?

It's $4,000 on Beg, Borrow and Steal, so, I assume it's also used.

Is it my uneducated bag palate, that makes me think I wouldn't dream of paying $40 for this, never mind $4,000!

Is this a beauty, and alas, I have no taste?

It just goes to show that many will pay for the brand name but I'm sure there are some that may actually like it.

This looks like an ill conceived what-to-do-with-your-old-jacket, do-it-yourself, project. It looks ridiculous. Anyone who'd pay that kind of money for it is in dire need of a psychiatric work-up.

We may see this bag at a thrift store in years to come.

A husband will buy this bag for his wife for Christmas because she loves Chanel.

She will carry it when they are going somewhere when no one will see the bag.

She will put it up and later will donate the bag.

I love CHANEL and own many of the bags but this one....no thank you. CHANEL and many HE designers sell some really freaking ugly bags and yet, they fly off the shelves as there will always be those who want the newest fad/look.

Afterall, that's what keeps the fashion houses in business; not those of us who buy a few classics and then we're done.

My mom would sometimes buy ugly deisgner things, becuse they were designer. and it was a sale! LOL. Whether couture or Kmart, Ugly is ugly is ugly. But I guess there's something for everyone out there.

Not saying I like it any better, but that pic doesn't do it justice.

A quick Google search shows the true design.

It's designed to look like a shirt.

The sleeves' are the handles which are tied at the end for a cross-body design. The sleeves can also be tied in a bow for a clutch design.
