Looking for something to replace LUG bags, tried American Leather Co which sort of worked. Not too interested in IHKWIP bags. I was stuck.

So glad you mentioned MZ Wallace bags in a previous post. First sight, loved them and was looking forward to seeing one in person.

Found a nearly new one yesterday at our volunteer charity group that organizes jewelry and purses for sale. Great price and proceeds go to our research foundation so that's even better.

How did you come across this brand? Wondering who else may have them like Off Fifth, Saks outlet, etc. will keep looking. Also you mentioned good sales on their website?

I had one several years ago and loved it! It wasn't one of their quilted bags which I really like, but a coated linen in a silver color. It was so pretty but after using it a lot over a few seasons, the coating started to peel in spots.

There was even a long thread here about MZ Wallace bags a few years ago. I don't really see them as much lately. They are a bit pricey but have good sales.

I became aware of this brand because of a thread that was active here. I own two of the small Sutton bags which I carry often and receive complaints on them often. Lightweight and well made.

LOL...darn autocorrect. I receive compliments on the bags, not complaints.

@rockygems123 They have their own website. They are also sold at Bloomingdales. They have been around for some time. I gave a few for gifts years ago.

@rockygems123. As I recall, originally @1Professor mentioned them in a thread, I investigated and the rest is history.

My favorite is a larger dusty aqua with lots of the most gorgeous silver hardware. It's a heavy weight nylon with leather trim. I think it was $425, and I got it on sale for about half of that.

I've put it away for awhile because, when loaded, it's not lightweight, and I don't carry a lot with me.

I also have a black one which I've put away and never used. I think it's a sueded material. I just don't like black handbags. Will probably gift it.

They're very nice bags but not really lightweight.

My Sutton bags are definitely not heavy. 🤷‍♀️

No not super lightweight. That's a feature I like about LUG bags but the designs are tired to me and tired of their lightweight material.

That was a good sale price for your aqua bag. Now that I'm on their list hopefully I'll get sale notices.

Ilove MZW and that style is nice! I have an older small Soho metrotote and it's my all-time fave bag!!
I am not a fan of quilted bags. I wish they would change their fabrication back !
