I guess I'm a "lug nut" because I have 6 LUG products in various styles and sizes.

I love the brand. Several months ago, I bought a wallet and was surprised at the decline in quality. I never use it. It looks and feels cheap.

Today, I wanted to buy one of the products but this time, I looked at the reviews before purchasing. Not good.......

Viewers who have LUG products commented on the decline of qualtity. This is so disappointing.

I didn't buy the item.

Hey LUG........You are losing customers. Time to rethink profit vs. quality.

@hick I started buying LUG bags in 2020, when I didn't need to carry around a lot in our "limited life" then. (Also bought an Aimee Katzenburg small crossbody that year too, which is very nice quality.) Anyway, after that I decided all I wanted to carry now for running around daily, is a lighter weight, nylon crossbody (I prefer crossbodies best...I love to be handsfree and lightweight...never loved carrying big bags)...so I bought quite a few I still use on LugLives. Got good deals. Got bags I need for travel too that I use all the time.

I have enough now, so I'm on a LUG "fast" in 2024, lol.

I haven't had any quality issues yet in the bags. But I will say, to me the company is expanding so much I'm not sure why or how they do it. Some of the "bags" or little random items they sell on LugLive seem useless to me and almost wonder if it's a way to use up "scrap" nylon leftover so there's less waste in their mfg. Not a stretch...I think mfr's do this all the time. (Think "mixed media" clothing...some seems intentional...some look like "let's use up all our leftover scraps and call it a "mixed media" shirt!)

I get Linked In emails, job alerts sometimes...and I follow LUG there, I have no idea why, just did that once and never changed it...They are always hiring...mostly tech people and CEO's, CFO's etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they won't sell out to a big company soon...that's what they seem to be positioning themselves for. I'm no business expert but that's what if feels like.

They're almost getting too big...and not every product (clothing) is the best. That's the one area I'd say quality issue...bought a pair of their leggings...loved them...soft, comfy. But I have other leggings I've owned for over 6/7 years that still look fine...keep their color and shape. The LUG ones, in 6 mos. wore out in the butt and knees, color fading. I just wear them around the house to be comfy now.

I jumped on the Lug train for awhile but eventually hopped off and moved on. There were some quality issues but I also came to the decision that buying patterned purses wasn't a good idea for me. I realized that it was just like the period of time I was all into Vera Bradley purses...had to have them but eventually outgrew them.

@amyb I have been watching lug live lately too. I don't understand how they do business. They have their website, lug live app, now lug life app. They have all these hosts selling on lug live. Why don't they just use their one website like everyone does & offer sales & discounts there?

I've read a lot of reviews, complaints about decline in quality. But few specifics. What is it that indicates lower quality? Some say, "looks and feels cheap". That's not helpful. What does that even mean? Recently I bought F43629, the Splits wallet and metro. Also a set of matching cosmetic bags. Quality seems ok to me

Totally agree, but it happens all the time and companies just don't care, or want more profit, corporate greed- My older bags are still great, but sadly, I stopped buying Lug.

I consider myself a Lug nut. The last 2 I purchased recently (through Ebay):

Lug Trolley II Crossbody (Indigo Rainbow)

Lug Matte Luxe Crossbody with Charm Bar - Carousal XL (White)

I love both of them and don't see a decline in quality whatsoever.

@smoochy I use my Lug bags everyday. I've had not one quality issue. So I'm not sure what they experienced..other than maybe some people feel the nylon has changed/cheapened? Feels & looks like it ever did, and doesn't feel cheap to me. I mean it is nylon and not some luxury leather, but I like the nylon, for a lightweight, casual everyday bag. I don't buy their "vegan leather", which to me is a cheap, overpriced product, in general, not worth investing in, in any brand. Only faux leather brand I've ever liked is Joy Susan, but only own a few of their bags. They make nice faux leather bags; we used to sell tons of them at a boutique I worked for. But, I'd much rather invest in good leather bags. Faux leather will last only a few years before peeling.

I also think I read, very occasionally, on the website, some people experience stiching coming apart. Like I said, I've had absolutely no issues with them. Mine have held up well, and look good. Never any stitching coming apart.

I know...it's frustrating when people leave vague reviews. One of my most frustrating "the color is GORGEOUS!!"...but they fail to mention WHAT color they got! They do this here on QVC reviews all the time too.

Agree the Lug quality has cheapened dramatically. I did try an Ihkwip bag and it's much nicer quality (at this point in time)- The nylon is beautiful, the hardware is real metal not plastic to look like metal and the the strap is pretty! That said, I have enough bags to last a lifetime-

I'm a Lug nut too and enjoy all that I have bought from them directly and through QVC.My biggest and growing concern is the slowness of delivery. I ordered an item on Feb. 16. The order didn't move until Feb. 20 According to UPS tracking the order went from Buffalo to Rochester, to NJ then on Feb.23 to a facility less than 10 miles from my location. And there it sits now on Feb. 27. UPS saysit's being processed but cannot give me a delivery date. The problem starts with LUG. They take your money and then take an inordinate amount of time to get it out of the warehouse and on it's way.You cannot cancel or change an order even before it ships. Maybe they are waiting to be bought out. But as a business model, this stinks.

@maggiemoo2 I posted on another thread about the improvement of Lug shipping out of their warehouse in Buffalo, NY. I placed an order for a black 'shimmy' on 2/21 and it shipped out the same day.

They must have updated their system. I'll be receiving the 'shimmy' tomorrow

I ordered from the Lug website very recently. The order arrived to my porch in TX within 7 days.

Everything was packaged securely in a box.

I also see evidence of improved shipping times. Today I received a Lug Pacer for $40 new with tags, from eBay. She lives near me and the entire turnaround time was four days. How have I lived without this perfectly sized bag? The teal color is rich. Organization is outstanding. I like it as much as my Ranger 2.

I was a Lug nut at the beginning.

I bought two pieces of luggage early on, intending to add more later. They discontinued the color shortly after.

I stayed with them, and added more bags. I made it my goal to buy one crossbody for each season. I've been very happy with them.

I use a Lug RFID wallet.

They started coming out with patterns that didn't match what I had. I couldn't get my favorites. IMO they were growing too quickly, and quality suffered in the process.

Then they started "over branding." They stuck that plastic, metal-looking Lug logo prominently on everything. It might not bother most, but it did me.

I bought a Big Deal set, making sure the logo was their previous one.

I haven't bought anything for a long time, but I treasure the "older" ones I have!

the issue of quickly discontinuing patterns and colors has been mentioned by others. That would drive me nuts if I were trying to put a matched set together.

I have purchased quite a few Lug bags over the last few years in all shapes and sizes and many of them are favorites (Ranger XL, Skyliner, Carousel, Trolley Mini). That changed with the last(?) TSV - the set of two Coupe XL crossbody/belt bags. I like the colors (solid wine and blue) but they're not deep enough so you can't fit much inside and, more important, it seems like the nylon now has some sort of coating which gives it an unpleasant, cheap feel. I'm so very sorry I didn't return them when I had the chance.
