CHANGE OUT BAGS REGULARLY?

I have one great bag that I purchased my last trip to NM in Washington. It's a black MZ Wallace, small crossbody that came with a web crossbody strap, a leather strap (shoulder strap, but long enough to be crossbody on me, too) and a chain strap to be a bit dressier.

It's my every day bag and loved the size, etc. so much that I purchased a second one as a backup. There are zippers on the outside and inside with wonderful organization.

It's quilted and a bit more sturdy thatn the same size nylon bag I was using. I haven't felt the need to change it out.

BTW, I no longer use my heavier leather D&B bags and sold most of my large LV bags except one large one for travel.

Do you change your bags for various outfits, etc.?

No. I have a few, lightweight crossbody bags, each of which I'll use for several months then switch. I do not coordinate them with what I'm wearing--LOL!!

I barely change my outfits let alone my bag. My outfits consist of tees, shorts, jeans in the winter and sneakers. I change my bag when I get tired of carrying it and want something different. Right now I'm carrying a Brighton organizer bag. No wallet needed, small and lightweight. I have way to many bags and need to donate bunches.

No. I have a Vera Bradley bag that I love and I carry that 80% of the time. It's a solid color. I might change during the summer but it's for another VB with a pattern.

@Shanus - I wouldn't say that I change out my bags regularly, but if I am going to a special event, I will definitely switch out from my usual larger sized bag to a medium or small bag that better suits my outfit and level of dressiness. I usually dress casually and wear a Coach regular-sized Rogue, as that bag is the perfect size for me, it stands up on its metal feet, and its internal organization is exactly what I need. I recently purchased one in black, but I have yet to switch out to it, as I am wearing a Rogue in a pink/lavendar shade with dark nickel hardware, which surprisingly, goes with almost everything I am wearing from day-to-day.

That said, I am going to switch out, first, to my new PN bag from QVC-- the black Augusta satchel-- today, just for fun, because it is a different style than my Rogues and it is black (a color I simply cannot stop wanting to wear).

I like to change out my bag regularly, but sometimes just get lazy about it. I tend to favor a medium large size bag, and I always carry too much stuff.

I have several smaller cross bodies that would be a much better choice, but I always feel "safer" with all my "stuff".☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️. I mean, what if I get stranded or something on my way to and from Walmart????🤣🤣🤣

I prefer a nice real leather bag but have several straw bags that I love and several vegan leather ones too. I have one LV bag I bought in the Chicago Water Tower mall about 25 years ago. I love it but there are SO many faux LVs in my area, I rarely carry it. I really should get it out and enjoy it.

I recently bought this small wicker crossbody/clutch at Kohls. I thought it was so cute!

No. When I worked, I changed bags. Now, I have three bags-- all crossbody. Two are the same style but different prints. (They are Lug bags.) I have macular degeneration, so having the same style, I know where items are in both of my usually used two bags.

No...and that's why I gave away most of my expensive bags, figured someone might as well get some use out of them!

Once I discovered the Lug Ranger 2 Medium Crossbody, I never looked back. Bought one in Sand Taupe (spring/summer) and one in Black (fall/winter). It has a built in wallet, a perfectly placed cell phone pocket, and tons of other organization.

I did save one small Dooney and one small MK bag, just in case I ever really need a somewhat dressy bag, but in 2 years they haven't come out of the closet!

I too stopped carrying D&B Bags a few years ago, they are too heavy for me but I loved the look, quality and functionality of them. I now carry mostly Brighton bags, they are very pricey but I love the quality of the bags.

The days of changing bags daily with the outfit/shoes retired when I began working from home. I used to keep a basket on my dressing table, I emptied my purse into it every night and then filled the one I was carrying when I got dressed the next morning. One thing for sure...I always knew what was in my purse.

No. I carry a Lug bag everyday. It is perfect for me. Have not purchased a bag since I bought that TSV a couple of years ago.

I used to have numerous bags that I frequently changed according to the season and my latest purchase. But now I carry the same handbag throughout the year, when I carry a handbag, which isn't very often.

So my collection of nice leather handbags in numerous different colors and styles stay well protected in my closet.

I guess I should donate all the handbags that are sitting in my closet. But they are such nice leather and I still like every one of them. It is hard to part with them.

Yes I do--- don't have a lot anymore but a few in a few sizes-- mostly I wear them cross body--depending on where I am off too. I use my lighter colored ones during this time of year---

Hi @Shanus . I don't change bags regularly, usually a lighter color bag for spring/summer and a darker bag for fall / winter. I can't do heavy anymore and I prefer crossbody bags. I too am guilty of having many in my closet though I have donated quite a few over the years. Generally on vacations I take a small crossbody just for essentials.

Right now I'm in Florida and I have my small Lug with me (not sure of the name of it but it has the starfish/ sea print) and it serves me well. I only use my Lugs for travel. I don't really have a favorite brand so I own many different ones.

I dont change out my bags, altho heaven knows, I certainly have more than enough bags, all of them with my preferred many pockets, inside & out. They're usual a sachel. Most of these bags, never been used.

I even use those purse inserts, with my loaded up many pockets, supposedly, easy to pull out from one bag & insert to another. Of course, my bags are always over stuffed!

Just seems like too much work to change bags.

Usually, I'm busy for time, just to Make myself up, dress, accessorize with jewelry, & out the door, to arrive for my on time commitment, before my head sweat melts my makeup

Where was my head? Buying so many bags, except I HATE paying full price for any item, and I got all these phenomenal bags, for an incredible, phenomenal price. Couldnt pass them up!

I rarely use one but just put my wallet in my jean pocket and don't usually need anything else so why change out a handbag or carry it with me everywhere. No that I am retired I do not need to have all kinds of stuff with me,

Yes, absolutely. I vary from Kate Spade to Michael Kors. The color and style depends on the season. I used to purchase Dooney and Bourke, but I found them to be very heavy on the shoulder. They are well-made, don't get me wrong, but they're just too heavy for an aging shoulder.

Yes I do. Right now I'm alternating between 3 of the recent Lug matte luxe dory tsv - margarita, lavender & pebble. All perfect spring/summer shades. I rarely carry a black bag & when I wear a black outfit, I use a pop of color bag - animal print, silver, red or whatever.
