How Many Dooney's do you have?

I will start my list ! I have A-260501 the pebble leather crossbody they are showing now, had it for several years (my color has sold out but when I bought it I paid $149 on sale from $199. I see it's on sale now for $164 down from $199. I have at least 5 more with the highest price of over $350 which I only carried maybe twice. Over the years my taste for bigger bags has diminished significantly and especially over the last 2 years I don't like to carry a big bag because I feel the need to clean and sanitize everything I bring into my home. So now I only carry a small Iman crossbody bag big enough to hold my IPhone in the phone window and my drivers license, small hand sanitizer and a few credit cards. I sanitize my bag when I come back home. I would love to buy some of the bags I've seen today but it's not worth it at this time

I have a lot of them. I got my first one at John Wanamaker's back in the mid 70's. I still have it.

I have them in many sizes and many colors. I also have a collection of Coach bags along with Cole Haan, plus others. I am embarassed to admit that I have bags that cost over $1000.

I have more bags and shoes than I need.

My weight has yo-yo'd for many years and my size has gone up and down. Bags and shoes always fit...that's my excuse.

I don't buy bags anymore...I want to, but I have my addiction under control. it wasn't easy.

I like looking at them, but the leather D&B are SO HEAVY (in my opinion) to use.

I bought the TSV nylon bag last year, and I like that one because it is easy care.

When I was working full time, I was always very hard on my bags so I bought cheap plastic ones and tossed them constantly. (Plastic is waterproof and light, and easy to clean, but zippers and straps still break!)

Now I am trying to buy a few nicer bags, but they are also smaller and more for special occasions.

You ladies who love D&B should come to see the QVC outlets here in PA, where all the bags are frequently sale priced.

I always look, but never buy...

@Goodie2shoesit's difficult for me to count how many Dooney's I have because so many are in their dust covers tucked away in my closet while the smaller ones hang up behind my door and then there's more on top of one of my tables in that same bedroom where the handbags I am currently using sit (a mix of brands) that are grab and go and are my current favorites.

I also have some beautiful B Makowsky bags in perfect condition which are crossbody bags made with super soft leather....buttery soft that I haven't used forever.

When the pandemic started I needed bigger bags with more comparments to hold facemasks and hand sanitizer. My larger Dooney's fit that bill. Also have been using Lug for that purpose on occasion.

Two current ones and two old ones...I got rid of the others since I really didn't use them at all. The older ones that I have I don't use either and should just donate.

The one that I do use a lot is an olive nylon that was a TSV from a few years ago. It came with a skinny leather strap that I replaced with a camo guitar strap and I get a lot of compliments when I wear it....people like the guitar strap.

I'm really not a big Dooney fan. I tend to like Brighton bags and just bought a new one a few weeks ago.

Why would anyone want to carry a ridiculously heavy bag? Seriously ... why?

At last count 30- I do love bags, and I must admit if someone comments on my bag, I have a tendency to give it away. Guess I got the purse (and shoe) thing from my late Mom! 😝

I usually keep 10 handbags in my rotation in various styles. I frequently donate handbags because I don't have the space to keep them and I'm fickle.....what I like today may be different next month and I don't have a problem donating items that someone else may find enjoyment using. 😊

Zip-zip in black/saddle color. LOVE this bag-classic looking, great function.

Would buy another in another color...actually, have always eyed the smaller version in crossbody for spring/summer, as cb's have been my bag of choice lately. I've stopped purchasing on Q as there are better prices elsewhere, including our local outlet. I just haven't been in many stores since pandemic, & am not in need of another bag right now. Been carrying nylon, non-Dooney crossbodies this past year. But my leather bags of choice are definitely Dooney.

2nd one is a Croco tote QVC had as a TSV about 10 or 12 years ago. Have it in the deep chestnut color (forget what they actually called this color.) Love this bag too...seldom carry it now that I don't go to a corporate, desk job...but I use it every now and then. Only thing I'll say about that bag...over the years, and not much use..the faux croco does start to wear away & crack a bit. So I'm babying it. Not that noticeable, but I didn't expect that to happen.

3rd..my first Dooney I bought years ago at Marshall's is what was more in style then, cotton woven with the DB initials, Ivory/Taupe with saddle handles. It's an older styled, more "smile shaped" hobo. Not as in fashion now, and not that easy to get in an out of, handle in the way...I never use it but can't bare to pass it on either.

Question: Do any of you carry the DB cotton bags anymore?? Or those type hobos? Not my favorite...I probably should find a new home for it.

I love Dooney bags, & when I get back to the outlet...I'm in the market for a good all year round mid sized crossbody.

I'm always eyeballing Florentine leather.

I'm just not carrying big or heavy bags anymore, so doubt I'll ever own one. I know they have a few smaller bags...they are tempting.

In my practical life, which has gotten more casual...I'm using all my smaller, crossbody, nylon bags, Lug, Baggalini, Aimee Kestenberg. I just want light & easy. But when I dress up and want classy/classic...I pull out my Dooneys.
