How Do I Clean The Big Deal Tote?

I really hope someone here can answer my question?

I am interested in the Big deal tote by Patricia Nash

But if I can't clean it then I don't want it.

Body 82% cotton/18% leather; lining 100% cotton

I watched the first airing of this tote on the Deals On The Daily today. There was no mention of how to clean the tote.

@BostonMommy I think it could only be spot cleaned because the cotton isn't coated. Unless you want to buy a spray repellent that would help keep it clean.

@BostonMommy I have that tote in a different colorway that I bought last summer. @NicksmomESQ is correct, it can only be spot cleaned but the first thing I did with mine was spray it with a fabric protectorant.

Do you like the tote that you bought? I ordered the Magenta Multi. but also like Koi Multi

@BostonMommy Yes,Scotchguard would work. Whenever I buy sandals with fabric uppers or Sak handbags I always spray them with Scotchguard. It helps to keep them clean.

I usually spray the items outside where it's well ventilated.I coat all sides evenly & well. Once it's dry I repeat the process one more time.

Thank you Nicksmom. Should I put a piece of cardboard on the inside of the tote, when I spray each side?

@BostonMommy it's really much bigger than I want or need... huge. I used it very little. I got a 3M protectorant from Amazon. Mine is yellow with a Southwest-looking motif.

Scotch Guard is a good idea. It does seem big but I ordered the Koi multi. I have orange espadrilles so it seemed like a good look with denim. I would not use it everyday so I don't think it would get that dirty,

Good luck , it's cotton. You could use Dawn dish soap or small amt tide but the fabric may stretch .

@DiAnne I bought the Koi Multi last night too. I love the bag. I need it like I need a hole in the head but I love this bag. I couldn't resist. I love all the colors in this bag. I almost went with the black.white combo but changed my mind and went for the Koi Multi.

@NicksmomESQ I just bought a pair of Vince Camuto platform sandals. They are suede and I'm going to scotch guard them. Great idea. I bought the Tortilla color. They arrived yesterday and they fit and are very comfortable which is not always the case for me with VC shoes

The only color I did not care for was the magenta multi. I love the colors in the Koi multi (I also do not need another bag!).

@DiAnne the magenta multi was not my first choice. I ended up buying the Koi Multi too because it has so many colors I own and it screams summer. I love this bag.

I purchased this one from Macy's a few months ago at a great price. I really like it alot. I don't carry it every day but when I do I get so many compliments. I haven't sprayed anything on it but after reading about Scotchgard, I will probably spray it.

I received my koi multi bag yesterday. This bag is gorgeous and while oversized it is not too big for me. I love it. It is gorgeous. Very happy I purchased it. Living inSoCal I will get a lot of wear out of it
