I have the Avion and love it for air travel. It has loads of pockets inside and several outside. My Kindle, wallet, and phone all fit in the outside pockets. The inside has pockets for my keys, medications, and all my cables. It easily fits my laptop. Sometimes I put a small purse inside.

It has a sleeve that fits over my roller bag and it fits perfectly under an airplane seat. I've used it to travel for both business and pleasure and it's worked really well for each. For business, I've used it to shuttle my computer and all necessary items back and forth to the conference room where I was presenting and other times to take my work home with me.

Avion is French for airplane, so it's no coincidence it works so well for that.

Trying to decide between the two. Will be using it on an airplane a few times and will put my smaller purse inside. No kids. So just my stuff. I just bought the lug ranger and like the many pockets. Will I use the many straps in a backpack? Is the lug too big! Thanks for listening!

I like the Baggallini bag. For me the Avion would be too large if I was taking it in addition to a suitcase (I’m not a big bag person though). I also like that the Baggallini has designated spots for a water bottle and an umbrella plus a sleeve to put it over the suitcase handle. I’m not sure if I would use it as a backpack though - probably just as a crossbody.

If you will need hands free, to walk a ways, carry a while, a real backpack is what you need. Padded straps and all. They can be thrown in the washer too.

The other reason for a real backpack is that you can strap it on when the ground/floor is just too. Ever try to do your business with no hook on the door and even your shoes seem like no protection? Just saying....
