LOUIS VOUITTON BAGS TO SELL

I have collected over 50 yrs. about six asst. LV bags. One is a huge drawstring bag w/ leather bottom that I used as a diaper bag/purse when my kids were 1 and 2...before crossbodies and needed something that served both purposes.

Anyway, many of these older purses, still in good condition, do not have inner pockets for keys, phone, etc. or are too small to carry all my “stuff”.

Can anyone suggest an online site where I can sell these bags? I tried local consignment shops, but after their commissions, the prices were too low....like $150!!!

I was going to suggest consignment but apparently you have already checked into that. My DIL tried to sell some of my Coach and Dooney bags on Ebay without much success. I actually found a consignment shop near me that has reasonable commissions and I have been very happy with the results.

Tradesy. I have sold 1 item on there. It was easy. But the market is very saturated for these (as much as we might love them) so it may take some time (or flexibility with pricing) or both. Good luck!

Just google the above. You take pics, descibe, fill out their forms, and they will each send you a quote for consignment or buy. I've sold to both Yoogi's & Fashionphile with great success, however, you probably won't get what you were hoping to get for them.

Sounds like a Noe People are looking for vintage LV’s in good condition

you need to find a better consignment shops or try some of the online places unless you are experienced in Poshmark or eBay I might stay away from those

but some of the others mentioned might be good buy the way I also have a vintage NOE and there is no way I would be selling that

@jackthebear Yes, I have a manageable size Noe and this larger one w/ leather bottom, last time I saw it, was listed under “luggage”. 😁

Try the website begborroworsteal.com, they buy and sell luxury handbags and also do consignment. I just checked and you brand of handbag is one they will buy from you.

The problem with consignment stores is security.

The ones I have used always have you sign that they are not responsible for theft or any loss of you items.

I also saw gently used in Century 21. When I went to sell my collection, I'approached Fashionphile and then to a local consignment in NYC.

I foulnd I did better with the consignment shop. I didn't like the quote from Fashionphile. I would have gotten less than half.

I collected and sold LV on the Bay prior to 2011. Given the current climate and the way in which super fakes have flooded the market, I wouldn't touch it. I can't speak to the Real Real. If your items are in great condition, you shouldn't have too much difficulty in getting a good quote.

If youre anywhere near NYC, try A Second Chance. Look them up.
