I got this pretty bag at my Magic Shop (consignment shop) for $8.00 I never bought any of his bags here on the Q. But I did buy one at my Magic Shop a couple of years ago. This leather is so soft.

Does anyone know the style name of this bag? Thanks

Does anyone else still have some of his bags? If so, how have they held up?

i just picked up one of his bags at the thrift store last week.

a small crossbody bag in a pretty orange/red color.

yes, the leather on his bags are very nice.

i got mine for $5, but its much smaller. good score for you.

@VenturaHighway I don't know the style name of the bag. I did buy one of his bags years ago however the leather was so supple, it drove me nuts (no structure). I gave the bag to my sister.

I never purchased any of his bags nor his wife's. I did read some feedback on this forum with complaints of his handbags. If yours is okay then don't worry. Bruce and his wife made a fast dollar and left town!!!!!

Wow! What a bargain for such a rich and saturated color bag. Very nice, indeed. I bought one of his hobo bags about 2 years ago and love, love, love it. The leather is so supple. Found it at Marshalls. Congrats!

@VenturaHighwayI have just one of his bags, but it's a much smaller crossbody. It's nicely structured and is holding up well - no signs of wear after several years.

My only complaint is the same complaint I have about almost any leather bag - they are nearly all heavier than I'm happy carrying. It's been about 5 years now since I bought even a medium-size leather bag in any brand - cotton and nylon are now my choices. Fortunately, I don't dress for work!

Beautiful bag; I hope the color doesn't rub off on clothing. As I recall there were some problems with that. I'd do a test with a white rag before using.

Thanks everyone for your posts Sounds like there may be several problems with his bags. I will test the bag for color rub-off. That would be a bad situation on nice clothes. Thanks again

That style does not look like a bag sold on the Q. It could have been sold at Nordstrom. They had styles different from the q. Enjoy!

I have a silver trimmed BM black satchel w a big tassel...i got at Macys a dozen years ago. the lining is paisley. Buttery soft leather, gorgeous bag...just wish it had "feet"

never purchased any of his Q bags. Remember Bruce and Lisa R tossing his bags around... they sold out in minutes.

I remember that. People with throw a hissy-fit because she would throw the bag to one of the stage hands. So silly.

I have purchased a lot of B Makowsky bags as well as many other designers and his bags are gorgeous quality leathers and they have held up extremely well, no color rub off on any of my bags and I have a large collection. Enjoy your bag, you’ll love it.

I never bought any of his bags - however, my cousin did and she got it wet in the rain and set it on her carseat and the black dye transferred to her silver car leather and ruined the seat. It was a lease car and cost her for a replacement seat when she turned the car in at the end of the lease.

I just got one of his bags out recently. The leather is a color he called "brandy." It is a much better bag than the fairly recent Camuto TSV.

@kjaeI really never watched his shows or the KVZ shows. Even though I have watched since 1994. I liked other brands that were sold here.

@VenturaHighway It was not the bag color rubbing off on clothing, but rather dark denim color rubbing off on his bags and being unable to get the dye off the bag because, obviously, the bag had not been coated (protected) from absorbing dyes.
