8/8 Denim and Company Jeans - Are they high waisted?

These jeans look very high waisted on the models and in pictures. I don't want low cut jeans but I don't want jeans over my belly button either. Does anyone know where these hit on the waist?

They describe them as slightly below the waist.....it depends on where your waist is....I am not being snarky but I am short waisted and a lot of slightly below waist descriptions just don't fit right on me and I imagine long waisted ladies might have an issue as well.

Yes, they just said its slightly below the waist but the fit looks terrible. I must admit that I spend a lot on my high end jeans ($125) but there is a reason you pay more and its the fit. Anyone can make jeans but the design and fit is what matters. The D&C TSV looks like they are bagging out and the line of leg is wrong and unattractive. They look too narrow down near the ankle to be a straigh leg. I don't even think the models are rocking them!

They state slightly below the waist but what I'm seeing is much higher and the models usually have longer torsos. On me they would go halfway to my bra. Some probably like that type of fit but that's on of the reasons why I never buy clothng here!!

Danielle46 you are right. It does pay to spend more for a great fit!

@Pook I am a petite, but always need a high waist (long rise) Therefore, my torso is longer; legs shorter.

Purchased "modern waist" jeans a long time ago and they sat too low on the hips for comfort for me.

For those that say "these come up to my bra," that statement makes me practically go to the computer and order right away!

The measurements given in "CLICK HERE" do not indicate an exceptionally long rise measurement. HTH

@LTT1, we must have the same body, lol. I'm only 5'2" but my rise is not a petite rise. I have to buy regular pants, and shorten the legs. And like you, I jump on a style if others describe it as coming up too high - that means it will fit me just fine. I'm short from the shoulders to the waist, but long from the waist to the hip. NOTHING ever "comes up to my bra." I ordered the TSV in burgundy and olive, and I'm hoping for the best!

I sized up from an 18W to a 20W due to a recent D$Co experience..they were huge and the waist went up to my bra and I am not short waisted. With that said, I suspect that there are huge inconsistencies in size across different sizes and different colors,

Those jeans look like Mom jeans at their worst, lol. It won't really matter if you are wearing a long top, but there are stylish jeans that are higher wasted. These remind me of the spoof they did on the Today show if SNL and the "mom" jeans.

Depending on your size, the click here information says they are 10-l/2 inches in the rise. That is very high . I prefer 8-9 inches in the rise still way below the waist but at the belly button

I agree. There is not doubt the high priced jeans are better. I like Seven For ll Mankind, Hufdson and MIH. They are $200 but worth it for the fit and fabric

Has anyone tried Women With Control Jeans? Is the waist on those high also. I think QVC has to cater to a more general audience and has to do a higher waist. Diane Gilman's DG2 Jeans are very high wasted. I quit buying Jeans unless they are the high end

@Teddixat On me, an 8-9" rise might as well be a pair of bikinis. I have been built like this all of my like (size 3 in high school/college)... high-waisted bell-bottoms fit me like a charm!

DD wears the high-end (Lucky) and although I guess they are cute on her... I would not want to fight "the trend"

DG jeans: high enough to give me 2-3 hours of comfort

WWC: about the same rise measurement as DG

ETA: man, are there a lot of errors in this... so I am correcting them!

Haha, cute. Well I say if you like 'em, rock 'em! I recently came across a picture of me from 20 years ago in an outfit my grandmother probably wouldn't have worn. I don't know what I was thinking at the time, but I know I loved that outfit!

I'm very long from my waist (which is high) to the pant's crotch. I've always felt comfortable in high waist pants and skirts. What I dislike a lot are pants with a waist band that presses against the middle of my tummy. Very uncomfortable on me, anyway.

I am shortwasited and petite. The only waist style I can wear is the "modern" waist, because they hit me at my natural waist.

Regular waist jeans hit me at the bra line or the crotch hangs down, so I love these pants.

Also they are not straight legs, they are slim leg (aka tapered). They are light weight, so I think they will be a great transition into fall.

Also because of the slim leg and somewhat light weight fabric, they should tuck into boots nicely in the late fall and winter.

All in all, I like them.

FYI - I am sort of between a 16 and an 18, so I ordered both sizes, one in dark denim and one in black. The 18 in black was way to big, the 16 denim fit perfectly. I have a pair of antique wash on its way in a 16, so it will be interesting to see if they fit the same as the dark wash.
